Hocus Pocus - Focus
Midnight Special Live 1973
If you've not seen this before it's spectacular. Here is the backstory of what makes this so iconic. Focus, was a Swedish progressive rock band. The Midnight Special was a television show which would not let any artist play over 4 minutes. Well "Hocus Pocus" is over 6 minutes long. Instead of cutting any piece of the song, they decided to speed it up and perform the whole song in its entirety. What ensued was brilliant chaos. Without a single lyric or word uttered they delivered a wonderful performance. Check it out! Even if you've seen it before it's still cool to revisit.

Like it that you posted Focus. From the year Jan Akkerman was voted Best Guitarist of the world.
To the dismay of the English musicians who would have preferred Eric Clapton at the time.
The band before Focus with Jan Akkerman involved Kaz Lux singing: Brainbox. In 1969.

And way before then: the Hunters

My preference is: the Dutch, without showing off guitar work, but also from greater Amsterdam.

Enjoy!
Kind regards, Gus

Queen - Somebody To Love
Live In Montreal 1981
If you ever wanted to see "Queen" live this is a wonderful performance. It may not be as popular as the "Live Aid Performance". But this was complete brilliance displayed on the stage. Freddie Mercury, never disappoints. But drummer Roger Taylor shows his backing vocal talent. He could be the lead singer in a lot of bands. Musically the band is as masterful as ever. Enjoy!!
