"Christians"
Ah Christianity, the biggest religion (well group of religious beliefs) here in the states it seems (NOTE: I could be wrong this is based on observation), anyway I've read that book of murder incest magic etc. and, I'm curious, how can anti gay people (especially the W.B.C) call themselves Christian, a religion based on acceptance, ridiculing a select group of people over something that doesn't affect them in the slightest? 404 logic not found. Thoughts? (Oh and if any are curious my belief is we do not know if God(s) exist and saying you absolutely KNOW either way is illogical and ignorant)

not all Christians are anti-gay. Religion, while not wholely logical, is not followed to the letter by all who claim the faith (as we know this is true throughout groups everywhere because some people are just like that). singling out a specific group from the religion (those that believe homosexuality is evil) and seeking to label the entire collection of individuals is ignorant on your behalf. not every christian views it that way, and some just don't care.
this is not an invitation to discuss how that gives them questionable morals or further debates about why religion is a confusing mess if you consider it on a scale larger than 'did it help this one person better themselves'.

Some people are just like that. Politicians for example. Try to accept the fact that it doesn't matter what they're saying is wrong or what they say they are. Some people don't have enough power in themselves to make it along without putting themselves above someone, if only in their mind or circle. Superiority fuels some to the grave and personally I can't break it down past that. Don't care enough.

Fuck the Bible, a majority of Christians do whatever it takes to counter their own self inflicted guilt, and whatever good deed is done by an average Christian is done only for himself, and his self righteous sense of moral divinity.
There's definitely a lot of that. But I'm starting to find there's a fair few people my age, the 18-24 demo, actually trying to better themselves that end up going to these 'progressive' churches with the live bands n shit because they don't know where else to go and haven't figured to look in themselves yet

hahaha i don't know what they're called but i'm sure you know the ones i'm talking about. i agree with you there, fuck the system, but try to get the ones that can be salvaged out of there first
i mean i was in church at first (didn't really have a choice). i was into it until 13 when i couldn't take it seriously anymore. still took some useful stuff from the experience though. i know i didn't have the revelations they were aiming for but whatever

Your initial question should be thrown to the individuals who act as you describe, not as general discussion here, where it's mostly speculation and judgemental assumptions...

Well, I suppose it depends on the person. There are Christians who accept gays, etc, and those who don't. W.B.C is pretty much a cult and aren't really 'christians' all though they claim to be. It's confusing and it doesn't make sense and we truly will never understand things like this.

Not judging here, but all religions are cults even the ones we enjoy. That's pretty much life, in my opinion... "this is better" "that is better"... it's just, when people start harming others, on some obscure measuring of degrees of harm, I get a lil upset. but like I said, this is life.

Not judging here, but all religions are cults even the ones we enjoy. That's pretty much life, in my opinion... "this is better" "that is better"... it's just, when people start harming others, on some obscure measuring of degrees of harm, I get a lil upset. but like I said, this is life.

well, God for me has one definition: love. God is love and love is God. so technically worshiping god is worshiping love and love exists so since love is God then God exists. Simple as that. As a Christian, I'm not very big on doctrines such as the bible, because it's so OLD and outdated in certain aspects. Love also means acceptance and I have many friends who are gay, pagan, atheist, and I know and love people who are in financial need or have certain impairments. So love is how I know God exists. Love is basically what kept me from committing suicide in 8th grade. Love is god so I assumed that God saved me. Anti gay people can call themselves Christians all they want, but in truth they'll never live to their full Christian potential, because they aren't following the morals of a true Christian.

Christianity is not about judging.We are but pathetic creatures who haven't any right to say what is cause for damnation.There are many religious people that "break the code"in name of the religion they are fighting for...Imperfection is expected,and you shouldn't base an opinion on an entire religion,because of a few anti gay fanatics...
