our cat lays with the wise men
window snowflakes fall
china doll under
the frosted tree cheerful with
faerie lights and treats
with the doll is a
stuffed be-ribboned panda bear
for my sister's child
all the while with the
homey scent of wassel near
Perry Como sings
the family gathers
watching their children open
stockings filled with gifts
mugs of hot cider
we raise our voices in song
blessings to you all
