Diamonds of the Sky

You bring sweet relief
or disastrous pain.
You can quench
the dying thrist
but drown an
innocent child.
Hide my tears,
or lead me out
to a land of imaginary
falling diamonds
pouring from the sky.
Who decides
whether you bring
pain and suffering
or life and happiness?

Suddenly felt inspired, needs some work, but here's a first pop...

Dry Paper

The water droplets crash to the pavement
Damping down the air to a crisp,
Remember you’re mortal they whisper
And nature will have its way
Despite your trust and toil and
The dry paper you inhabit.

The mist engulfs shallow lungs and
Damp clothes cling for comfort
As the sky’s nectar descends on
Flesh and concrete alike, pressing faces
Against the clear glass square that
Hangs from the 17th floor wall.

They say the heavens open and
I can't say I'm a believer but
I do seize these moments when
The world runs for cover and I stand with
Outstretched arms, surrendering it all
To prove that I am finally alive.

Crowning Symbals  (SP Summerscales)

I walk into
the night time rain
it soaks through
to a perturbed brain
if I only knew
what I did gain
then maybe I'd choose
another way
in the sunshine day
a stinging memory strays
bringing back the haze
through the cracked
and  crazed
my mind goes back
too late
the past
can only be saved
if we see tomorrow
from today  .

The drips
give in to gravity
my mind trips
into insanity
the world it spins
right infront of me
cloudy nimbus
windy of gloomy
crowning symbals
crash to lash
musically
as they hit the cars ,
kerbs and big leave trees
I wonder what ever happened
to me .

Drop

I plummet.
Squares of maize below,
and forest green striping chocolate earth.
In heavy air I hang,
up and down suspended
briefly.
Slowly
descending
gathering pace,
terracotta meets terra firma
but I am not afraid,
brothers and sisters surround me.
We are free.

I impact.
Shards of aqua splinters
erupt in transparent fireworks.
This is no bloody massacre,
no tears shed.
Triumphant
with orchestral
synchronicity we reunite,
family flows away.
My work is done,
I pass on the gift...

I've seen a few Bollywood musicals; Sholay is the one I remember.
I'm more a classical film person. I've seen most of Satyajit Ray's films.
His films are more than poetry.

Hmm, so who is the one I remind you of? Not that I'd know, but it would be
 fun to look him up.

Sholay is the biggest success of bollywood so far and howsoever times you watch it you will have no qualms watching it again. Same entertainment!
Satyajit Ray is India's one of the finest film makers. My mother tongue is Bengali and so is Satyajit Ray's. I am from West Bengal, Eastern part of India.
Its a great pleasure to learn your so many interests in my part of the country. You are from? How did you get attached to my culture? Its really amazing to know this.
I am currently referring you with Hrithik Roshan our style icon. But he is a brilliant actor and he speaks and thinks like you. I can imagine atleast.

The Slipping
Biting upon the flesh.
God clenches his forbidden fruit.
Rain slicks down his beard.

dream rain

Pouring out anti-sunshine, we fall.
Our past objective is dusty, clouded yet clear,
from loud to soft, like the deep sea depths of my mind
like an echo, we go away, but come back soon again, then soon fade

like the rain, I'll see you after a few passing days
like the rain, I'll see you, like a shadow, in a sleepy haze
In an empty space we float together, until you and I fall, with force
this may not be all of our deepest wish but...

isn't it for the best?
do we not fall for a greater cause?
or is it for all others'
stares and mindless awe's?

"Its a great pleasure to learn your so many interests in my part of the country.
      You are from? "
[font=Courier New][size=2]
I'm from (and currently in) the state of Texas in the U.S.A. My wife has been a
movie fanatic her entire life. She earns her living writing about them and because
of this I have seen zillions of movies (she, of course, has seen a zillion-zillion).
She discovered Satyajit Ray's works (and I through her) because one of Japan's most
prominent film directors Akira Kurosawa (she considers him a god) said of Ray:
(went and looked this up cause I barely remembered it) "Not to have seen the cinema
of Ray means existing in the world without seeing the sun or the moon." Well, after
hearing this, she made a point of watching his films where she could (this was kinda
hard in the old days) and came to thoroughly agree with Kurosawa (as did I).

I looked up Hrithik Roshan... I wish I was a tenth as handsome.
