Poetry Contest Description
write a piece in honor of your favorite adult beverage
if you know me, you know i love my bourbon. just about as much as i love my coffee. so write me a piece about your favorite adult beverage! does jack do it for you? jose? how about glenlivet? or do you lose all decorum over jameson? any beer drinkers in the house? cocktails? i want to hear it!

bourbon:thirty
the need for that spicy liquid
on my tongue is
practically makin’ me
salivate
i want it coursin’ through
my veins and makin’
my head swim
and my inhibitions drop
i want to wrap my fingers
around the glass and
breathe in the clean kentucky air
i want to close my eyes and
smell coal dust and hard work
and small town livin’
i need calloused hands,
made bold with liquid courage,
to hike my skirt up around my hips
and draw that native taste from my
depths to the very surface of my skin
i want to throw my head back
long blonde curls across my naked back
feel his hands move over the rolling hills
of my home and me
kiss those eyes that have seen to my roots
taste the rich soil on his lips
right now,
i need it like air

carmel colored liquid

Chocolate Seduction Potion
Martini glass, no ice
One part Vodka
Two to three parts club soda
Add medium sized tootsie roll
And stir with it.
Frothy chocolate bubbles
Giddy girls love sucking
The chocolate stir stick
(Created between my left ear, and right ear)

Black Sauce
white women love it
they can't get enough of it
they leave their husbands
for a taste of the darkness
white women are so atrocious and deceptive
sneaking behind their husbands' backs
to get their mouth around blacks
they suck the black straw
and they swallow the black sauce
white women can't go a day
without black sauce in their mouth
oh white women
just profess your love without scorn
for your black lover's thorn
white women love it
they can't get enough of it

Delicious Nutritious
For breakfast I had a Bloody Mary
Lunch was beer cheese soup
For dinner I had three day soaked
Pork chops drowned in white wine
Coated with Jack Daniels’ glaze
Smothered in brandied onions and raisins
Meals nutritious and well balanced
Just as long as you are able
To hold on to the spinning table

"Screw Me"
I like a little nip now and then.
But the drink I drink most often,
Is vodka with some orange Gatorade.
Its called a plastic screwdriver.

Went to the bar.
Needed a drink.
Had a hard day.
Rum and coke, please.
Is Pepsi good?
I guess it is.
She handed me
A mixed up drink
That had absolutely no rum.
Where's the rum gone?
I like a little nip now and then.
But the drink I drink most often,

Whiskey Snowflakes
Downy drops of burning liquid
wrap themselves around my limbs.
After passing my throat's gate,
to defile balance & weight.
Melted points pierce my skin,
then numb to a fine hum & din.
Bonnie countenance, merry wit,
songs lift hearts & hale spirit.
But all the while behind the scene,
a conniving, torture stirs within.
To brew a fire in temples deep,
and rob your soul of pukeless sleep.
Heed the disappearing song's refrain,
Bukowski's curse will stew your brain.
Vain prayer escapes cracked lips,
regret will spring from promiscuous hips.
Only hours spent in penitent falter,
before a sacred porcelain alter,
Will deliver cool & fine succor,
but till then, shut the toilet door.
