Poetry Contest Description

see below for details...

I've held competitions before that had this basic format. I like this type because I think they're fun and make good warm up exercises for writing. I've had good feedback from others over the years on these too, so I thought it time for another go...

2 weeks
up to 3 entries each
any style, rhyme or not

Basically, fill in the blanks
I give a line and you add the number of words specified to it

I should've known {add 5 words)
There is nothing ( add 5 words)
the truth is ( add 5 words)
I'm sorry ( add 5 words)
At least (add 10 words)

that's it! easy.

so, the entry, when finished, will resemble this example

I should've known or perhaps I did and
there is nothing left to trade or vend
the truth is never available first hand or
I'm sorry would be a forgotten phrase
at least for now
let us lower our standards and try again
