I'm going to jump on the haiku bandwagon here. Write me a six part haiku about a kaiju (strange creature in Japanese.) But here's a twist, you cannot use an existing kaiju like Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, etc, but must create your own and name it.

EACH POET IS ALLOWED THREE ENTRIES WITH A NEW KAIJU FOR TWO OF THEM, BUT IN THE THIRD PART YOUR TWO KAIJU MUST DO BATTLE!

They called it Winter
Polar ice cap melts
Awakening the creature
Global warming came
Thrashing through water
It's tail creating a wake
Tidal waves reach land
Birds flock to the mass
An island of horns and flesh
Approaching the shore
Legend tells the tale
Of the spiteful Winter-beast
Who will come to purge
Amphibious god
Breath of cold engulfs us all
The frost is galore
The ice age has come
Like so many times before
Earth belongs to it

The earth splits a fissure large
Steam billows outward
Volcanic matter
Spewing as the earth trembles
Birthing inferno
Arise Tectonic
Scale covered hardened magma
Eyes like molten rock
Serpentine body
Slithers through the melting snow
Adversary snake
Ash floating away
Shedding to new skin for war
Prepares for battle
Monuments of flame
Halfway across the planet
Searching for Winter
Beneath the freezing

Cheering for no one
Winter roaring loud
Frost blows from deep within it
And hail falls to earth
Tectonic hisses
Lava spittle pouring out
Molten lakes are formed
Colossus monsters
Tangled in a mess of hate
Shake the earth at foot
A venomous bite
Tectonic wounding Winter
Poison flowing deep
Winter’s strength prevails
But toxins are now heart bound
Both Kaiju lie dead
Man can only watch
As they are all powerless
