This is just my 2 cents....
I do NOT understand what ALLITERATION is.....
and I am not ASHAMED to say so
as I am NOT a poet....

Could you DEFINE it and
1. give a reference
2. give a poem as an EXAMPLE

Thanks
Kitty

This stagnant solitude
Ever dismal and deep
Cries in curious consonants
Breaking my bones
Choking the child inside
And I cannot crawl from this curse
Eternally I have entered this hearse
So I sing
A melody of mine
To turn these tirades inside
Into naked inspiration

Alliteration is merely a string of words that commence with the same letter...example:  Persistent poets perpetually prize their poems... lol

++so well**

Crushed by the nonacceptance of many.
In this tragic repentance so blame me.
I crawled into my doldrums so deepest.
As these irrational conundrums were
sweetest.

The World reigned down it's ridiculous mockery.
Saying I was full of demons suspiciously and snobbery.

I pointed it's flaw's and was glad it was half over.
I rested knowing I was right.  For the math was so well
ordered.

Alice's Allegory

Alice had an allegory
Of if uffish fishes fathoming
Exceeds a further furling feel
We dub dimensions one two three.
'Cause they and she could quite conceive
Surrounding space in x, y, z.
As spatial plane so plainly seen,
But what of those internally?
She however had her answer though,
For prior to her proposition,
By positing, she proved perception,
So though her sea friends could explore
Every inch inside an orb,
The fishes failed to formulate a very fundamental thought
That as above, so below, exists a realm within and out.

ALLITERATION POEM
(I am cringing....please don't throw tomatoes)

Creepy crazy crawlies crawling
Catering catastrophes, crying
Culling captains, creatures, crops
Cars coming clunking
Carloads catching capers
Cabbage clusters coping
Canning carbons collaborating
Cultural castoffs coughing
Cutting clutter clearing cots
Catching coasters clearly
Coining clarity closely
Cauterizing cleaning clots
Cap the cock's crowing
Cork the culinary crusts

She sometimes swims until her lungs hurt
and her heavy heart pounds a smile onto her face

she'l glide through the torrents
and whisper woes and worries to the sea
she'l feel clean, crystal clean again
because bathing becomes her

then she'l stop, stand, smile and wave
while she shakes salt-water from her hair

it is a repetition of the same sounds. Something like this.

"sally sells sea shells down by the sea shore.

Creepy Crawlers

http://cdn.smosh.com/sites/default/files/bloguploads/FML-spider-army.jpg

Creepy crawlers on the ceiling—
rejuvenated, roaming and rejoicing
Cozy as the cold climate comes
weaving webs, waiting for their prey
silently searching, stalking, salivating…

Scornful sinners like scorpions—
they sting like a bee and sing like a king
Sadistic and sarcastic swears
feast on fears, their feat:
the creepy crawlers on the ceiling.

Hear them come home on Halloween,
always alluring and aloof
Suspicious scoundrels go scot-free
enjoying the evening every
inch of the way, itchy bitsy spiders
feel free to feast on your prey!

Strike

Roar and rumble, twist and turn,
loose the lightning’s pent-up burn.
Flash and flicker, dance and dive,
for an instant feel alive.

EDIT:

Didn't see 10 - 15 lines until just now. Not a problem, I'll try and add some more to this thing by the end of the competition.
