Yes, I know, we’re a way away from Valentines Day, but if you’d like to get some early practice in?
Write a short piece to that special someone in your life.

It's not, you know? all about petals of roses
and moon-beams floating out the arse
of some god in the heavens, said moon-beams
shimmering on ripples atop a great lake
It's not about holding hands
strolling down a promenade, stopping occasionally
to wistfully gaze into each others starry eyes
and plant knee wobbling kisses onto lips
that take on a new magnitude of sensitivity
there's so much more.

Wish on eyelashes
Because of you
I wish on eyelashes
I dare to dream.......of you
Thousands of miles away
And your on my mind...
On a different continent and I smile
.....at the thought of you
Imagining your arms around me
Breathing in your scent
Intoxicated by your presents
My eyes closed tight
Because I think its a dream
That if I open them you'll be gone
You wouldn't want me
You might.. never know
I'll be far, far away
Looking out the window of my day-dream
And see you waving me good-bye
Slowly fading to the darkness
Your thousands of miles away
I wake up everyday and You come to mind
I want to be with you
So instead of going through life with my eyes shut
I wish on eyelashes
For you

if i had one last dance sweet-wild-child, i'd have it with you my love. i'd break the line till my feet bled and the music broke the rhythm in my head. if i wrote one last poem, i'd write it for you love. i'd search the metaphors, similes and alliteration from the depths of my heart, till my blood no longer circulated. i'd type each word with so much care that my fingers would cramp and i'd fill it with so many words it would challenge the dictionary. if i had one last breath beautiful woman i'd use it to lock lips with you. i'd gasp it and hold it, till i left with the taste of you swirling in my being and sucking you in to feed me for eternity.
if i fall again, i want to fall into you babe and i want to do it from the top floor of the empire estate, a free fall because i love you. if i have one last prayer woman i pray i never again would have to lock you away and that we could live together love inked in each others lives, even if only for my very last day, my lovely.

Roses are red, violets are blue
But I know this, and so do you
The skies are dark, as is my heart
Come over here, need a jump start
Always is a tale of woe
Pathetic excuse for a Romeo
Can't live without your tears
This story will be told for countless years
Fell from heaven down to my hell
To whisper secrets I'd never tell
And heal my scars that go past the skin
Straight down to my heart, full of needles and pins
Can't walk away, stuck in place
And here we are, face to face
Need to say what's on my find
But that hidden courage I cannot find
Rejection's right there, waiting at the gate
Funny thing is, it's never late
I take the step, then trip and fall
Rather walk away than crawl
You say it first, and I'll follow
Those three little words make it all less hollow
Waited forever for this one last chance
I'm worth more than a passing glance
Angel, come save me, I'm waiting in the ether
Lost my faith in fate, make me a believer
Walk away, and I'll welcome the dread
Then I'll know for sure St. Valentine's dead

Or forget how to feel and how to cry
Cupid's pierced my heart again
Forced me to fall for another friend
I don't want to know
How golden and fun your new currents flow
I don't want to meet the lucky one
Who has stolen my wishes and won
Won your heart instead
He makes me wish I'm already dead
But all my wishes were swept away
My pierced heart bleeds this Valentine's Day
I wish I could say
