Poetry Contest Description
Poems based purely on fairy tales...
They don't have to have a happy ending...or have to be happy at all...
you may take orginal fairy tale characters and twist their stories if you'd prefer...
however, it must still have small characteristics of a fairy tale....such as a damsil in destress...talking animal.....prince "charming"....you have to at keast in corperate one characteristic or another
no word limits or anything....I hope to see some really good work
good luck everyone

CINDERELLA'S TALE
My name is Cinderella
My life sucks
I have two evil step-sisters
Who made me into a slave
They inherited their money
When their kind parents died
Who told the sisters to be nice to me
My evil stepsisters have never even tried
One day they were invited
To the King’s ball
To find a bride for his son
He would see all
The single women
In this town
The sisters went into frenzy
Made me sew their gowns
With all the other shit they made me do
I was getting fed up and tired
I sneaked out of the house
Went to visit a local witch
Told her about my plight
She accepted the small amount of money
Gave me the herbs
Put a protection charm around me
Told me to keep quiet as a mouse
I went home and cooked and cleaned
Sewed and hemmed, did everything
Without demonstrating discontent
Slowly both sisters started being sickly
And by the night of the ball
They were sleeping in their beds
No energy at all
I took a gown that fit me
I took their makeup and perfume
Took a bath before dressing
Looked at myself in their room
When the coach came for the sisters
I climbed in, explained the other sister
Had been unwell, so off I went
The ball was so beautiful
The men all looked at me
I was told the Prince would choose
The perfect woman at eight
Using a crystal shoe
The right woman would fit
I always had big feet
Did not think I had a chance
So all I did was to enjoy myself
Dance and dance and dance
I was called at midnight
Obviously no-one had fitted yet
The servant put my foot into it
And by golly it fit
The Prince came around, six foot two
Wanted a tall bride so his sons
Would be tall like their father
I guess I was the one
Size 11 narrow fit me perfectly
I fell in love with the Prince
He fell in love with me
I gave him four tall sons
We lived a happy life
My evil stepsisters were spinsters
Clearly hated me
I rewarded the witch
With an indexed pension guarantee.

CINDERELLA
Ella was locked up in a basement by her keepers
You have heard of them - the three ugly sisters
They were all into BSDM, but had trouble finding men
Ugly sister 1 would not do fellatio
Ugly sister 2 did not like to fuck
Ugly sister 3 would not do it in the ass
So poor Ella had all the luck
All the men asked for Ella
Making her high maintenance
Trips to the doctor
Were an inconvenience
But the 3 sisters were down on their luck
Once rich, they were now poor
Taking care of Ella only for money
One day appeared at the door
A man who looked like money
He brought with him a shining shoe
Said if anybody could fit in it
He would consider them as his bride
The three sisters fell for it
They went about trying their luck
With the shoe - while Ella was doing
What they would not do
When the stranger finished with Ella
They all showed him how the shoe fit
The men told them he was a police detective
It was too late to cover up the error
They were holding Ella
WITHOUT HER CONSENT
In BSDM - this is a NO-NO
Off to jail the three sisters went
While Ella married the nice police fellow!

Said the man unto the princess,
locked up in her chamber's cell,
"Look at the beauty I can give to you,
and I shall treat you well."
Said the princess to her mother, dear,
for stealth, with ink and quill,
"I can not tell you where I go,
please try not to worry ill."
Said the princess to her handsome groom,
as on horseback, they rode away,
"I can't wait to see the castle you have,
and the new place that I will stay."
Said the handsome man to the princess girl,
handing her a white mare's reins,
"If you think life comes on a silver platter,
you're in for a big and sudden change."
Said the princess to the charming man,
who led her crosst the land,
"I can learn to love the highwayman life,
if I can only hold your hand.
Said the man then to his newfound friend,
fellow rider, and trusted side,
"I knew from the moment I met you,
that I could somehow make you mine"...
Said her mother to her father,
deaf, back home, many miles away.
"I can't help but wonder if she was rescued,
or in a daydream, forced to stay?"

< Jeremy >
Jeremy was a geranium who craved Capitals.
And today, Jeremy was jittery.
"Those kids are visiting today", he said to himself.
"All those fidgety fingers, all that fervid fingering."
He was concerned, of course, for his blossoms.
Which, as we all know, turn brown when bruised.
Then Frank showed up.
"Not Frank!", he shouted.
And if geraniums could jump,
then Jeremy would have jumped.
But jeremy could only gesticulate
as a wee wandering wisp of wind waved his branches.
"Not Frank!"
"Frank is the most fantastically fanatical of the fervid fingerers.
Frank has browned blossoms from Brewster to Bristow,
from Broadwater to Broken Bow", thought Jeremy,
nonplused that Nebraska didn't begin with a "b".
"Brewster!" he babbled,
where Jane and Janice Geranium
and their sisters Sarah and Sally
had psychologically succumbed to Frank's fanatically fervid fingering.
"Not Frank!", he said.
But Frank,
walked right past,
his fantastically fanatical fervid fingers fascinated, fevering, for forsythia.

does it have to be about a single fairy tale or can it be just about fairy tales in general?

-A hero never more-
There’s a moment to every story
When the prince doesn’t come to save the damsel
The dragon can’t be defeated
And the threads of lies the witch wove
Grow stronger instead of breaking
When chivalry has long since past
And the mourners leave only dying flowers
At a grave that was never there at all
Because no one cared enough
To stop and drag its lowly carcass from the road side
Before the ravens came a pecking
Pecking, pecking
All the while calling in their harsh laughing voices
Never more
Like feathered boogey men to steal away what was never ours
Except in dreams and fairytales
While sprawling trails of ink on paper attempt to record
Every step in a hero’s journey
Without ever stopping him in warning
Of the ravens all the while waiting
With cries of never more
There’s a moment to every story

So far I think this might be my favorite:)

stolen away in the night
away from the grumpy daddy
it's going to be all right.
locked up in a secret castle
at [legally protected address]
breathe, princess. no more hassle.
daddy wants to know where
we get these tired eyes from
she's just not being fair.
i have every, EVERY right
to follow you, to find out
where MY children sleep at night!
the king and queen bicker.
the princess cuts off her long hair
but it grows back thicker.

The Rainbow Cloud Princess
Child:
I want to sleep on a rainbow colored cloud that smells and taste like candy!
Psychologist:
Where will you find that cloud?
Child:
The cloud comes from the rainbow cloud princess
she shoots rainbow clouds from her wand for the little kids to sleep on at night.
Psychologist:
Why don't you wanna sleep in your bed?
Child:
Cause mommy and daddy fight and I can hear them
I don't want to hear mommy and daddy fight
Psychologist:
So you want to sleep on a rainbow cloud so you don't have to hear mommy and daddy fight?
Child:
Yes
Psychologist:
So why do you think other kids want to sleep on a rainbow cloud?
Child:
Cause theirs more than one cloud in the sky so I'm not alone. So their mommy's and daddy's are fighting to.
Psychologist:
Why rainbow color?
Child:
Cause rainbows are pretty and they make you happy that's why the rainbow cloud princess made them.

Snow
"Mirror mirror on the wall
Who is the fairest of them all?"
"She is the beauty of the night
The one, the only Snow White."
Jealously blinds the bitch
She feeds off it
The Queen
now knew envy
She had many jewels and her duty
but in beauty
Snow had everything
While the she had nothing
She sends someone to do the evil deed
She needs this to succeed
Snow survives
And goes to hide
Finds a house and goes inside
To find the home of seven guys
They see her and get evil thoughts
They rape her, they are deaf to stop
Then the evil bitch, disguised
finds the place Snow hides
She finds a poor girl raped, beaten, and miserable
Bruises now covered what was loveable
The Queen asked the mirror once again
wondering if her quest was worth it, in the end
The mirror's answer was not a lie
for it was Snow White
The Queen screamed and asked why
The mirror said, "her beauty still lived on the inside"
The Queen destroyed the mirror in a snap
and a shard killed her, ripping through her back

Red
A girl in the red cloak
was walking down the road
She wore a revealing dress,
leggings, and boots in red
The man watched her like a wolf
His eyes were filled with hunger
She walked to help an old lady
Who was, to her, like a granny
The guy found about her
And got their first
He shot granny in the head
And waited for Red
Red arrived only to find
The guy waiting for her
He pointed the gun and said
Your mine, get undressed
She removed her clothes
To reveal a tattoo of a rose
When she was fully nude
The guy was really rude
When he finally got his clothes off
She kicked him in the balls
The gun went flying through the air
She tried to run but he grabbed her hair
He held her down with eyes of hate
Then he committed the crime of rape
Her screams of pain shatter glass
But were never heard by anyone who passed
She finally got her hand free
And his balls were kneed
She got up and put on her cloak
And climbed through the window he broke
She ran and ran as happy as can be
Now that she was finally free
