From your soul I wanna read..

I have been completely inspired by a thread I read this morning. I would love to hear the souls of young poets. I can't imagine the pressure or ridicule one must endure yet still keep writing. I didn't gather the balls for years. Young poets from the earliest age allowed here to 18 please unleash your talent. And by that I mean your best in your eyes. I will be waiting like a dog.. =).. And there is no losers so if I could award each one a win I would so don't let that detour you. Bring it on!

no rules of grammar or structure just your poetry.

That is exactly what i'm trying to figure out myself.. Who are the young guns... The age limit is 18 only because I feel it relieves any pressure incase there might be some. thank you for your question.=)
Then again what do you think?.. Should it be 20?. I'm open for ideas.

aww crap ! I'm way off limits lolol

I once had a heart,
Then she came along,
I started to fall,
Then things went wrong.

She said the right words,
And acted the right way,
We no longer speak,
I never thout I would see the day.

She turned away,
My heart shattered,
She never looked back,
Didn't act like it mattered.

She gave the peices back,
I threw them out,
And walked away,
There was nothing left to care about.

They layed there,
Exactly where they had been left,
Promises to fix them,
Had never been kept.

Then one dark day,
Another came along,
Collected the peices,
And fixed what was wrong.

One afternoon,
We stood in the rain,
Every little drop,
Washed away my pain.

Once my heart was whole,
She gave it back,
It was warm again,
The beat wasn't out of whack.

The minute I touched it,
I felt something new,
I took it in my hands,
Said "no this belongs to you."

I had always loved her,
I just didn't know,
It took my heart being broken,
For it to show.

I don't think she'll hurt me,
At least I hope not,
I know if she does,
My heart will rot.

The travels of my heart,
Are full of woe,
Where it will go from here,
I'm sure I don't know.

Born of the variable boom
Of explosive chemicals
Into a world of dark paradise
Defined by my chaos
My early years
Filled with violence the destruction of mind
mama cooking mumbo
Daddy preferred crack
And green weed
Lit up profit
Lost his own bend
Around the bend
Down the mountain
Polluting the air
Big man
Buying souls
Selling sin
From his seed
In mothers garden
I bloomed
Aram
The high and exalted
Kahakuakea
The fair Lord
I was born if failure and success
Unstable catalyst
With age I turned bad
Followed in footstep
Of the family business
Replaced the missing link
Took up the hand
But never the product
Smart dealer
Crack commandments
Sell
Not smoke
Your money away
G.O.D
Heard my pleas
Warrior reborn
From sacrifice of another
Mama cooking sweet desserts
For the healthy boy
Me
Cleaned up
Fighter stuck in winning ways
Man in young age
I play ball
I hope to go far
Repent my sins
Give to those who need
Care for my family
As a Polynesian man does
I keep track of my ancestry
With ink set in skin
It explains me
If you know how to read
The patterns of my soul
As it flatlines into designs of intricacy
Shadowed in
With bone ink pen
I wear my hear upon my sleeve
Connected to my soul
By thin fabric
Slowly disappearing as my clock
Ticks and tocks
But age doesn't matter when you stare intently
At the sun rise
And set every day
The moon shine
And stars intertwine
embedded within me
After it passes through dark brown eyes
To my soul
Filled with chaotic mess
Pandora's box of images
Colors
Music
Notes
phrases
Places
Lines cross and never meet again
In this infinite space
Colors splash and fade in acrylic and oil
Staining
Emotions
Painted
As music plays
In the background
It expands warmly
But one place...
That holds tragedy
The click of hammer being pulled back
Report of gun
Splattering of pink and red
Bullets of lead coat
Hospital beds
Sliced wrists
Smokes and powders
White tshirt glint of steel
Holding body
Bleeding warmly
Upon the ground
Tears
Bitter tears
And hate
Held within this devils playground
I try not to wander to
Surround it with happy thoughts
Hidden away in invisibility cloak
Within smokes and sunny days
The crash of waves
Ring of bells
Signaling the knockout
My win
Of my brothers out on the field
Touchdown
Nothing can touch us
My soul
Is a world unknown
Chaotic like this poem
Filled with graffiti covered walls
Of a maze
Subway like
That leads to sudden stops into cityscapes
And beaches
Of the cleanest water and whitest sand
Palm trees and tropical fruit
Rooms of music
From alternative to rap and everything in between
Gun ranges
And battlefield
Dojo and parties
Monsters and beasties
Girls and women
Friends
To make me laugh
All these great things
Restraunts and clubs
Movies projected in big white walls
Libraries filled with novels and comics
And poetry
Epics of love and heart break
With girls I used to love
And be with
Fights in rings and streets
Green turf
And bright lights
It expands universe worths

judgement, so harsh so cold
only to be expected
by the clothes i wear
from the words i speak
by the color of my skin
judgement is the sea i have forever lived in
judged by teachers, friends and strangers
everything i do is seen underneath a microscope
few care, and those that do are the ones that dare

a girl suffering from an unspeakable rage
the fire storms within me
