I am in love with my kids
Even when they annoy me
I still love them
When they leave my home to start life
I will be one broken hearted women

Who is this little boy crossing his arms in front of me
His sky blue eyes sparkle with wonder at everything he sees

He is six and has blond hair that is starting to turn brown,
I love everything about him, even his cute little frown
A gift from heaven, he is as innocent as a dove

When he was born, my world peaked with wonder
At his freckles, his dimples, and his passionate crying thunder
He feels, he cares, and he is starting to think about everything he does

Calm and polite, he never ever acts out
He is a perfect angel, even when we are out and about
His little legs dangle as he sits, on my lap I swear he fits like a glove

He often puts his hands in his pockets, and he loves airplanes and rockets
We make holes for marbles in the sand and race tracks from a box
And we find the poppys in the garden after smelling the foxgloves

I thank my lucky stars that I’ve lived this long
To hear this child speak and read, and sing me a song
And see the hairline of his father and the yellow glow that his grandfather is made of
I AM IN LOVE

Like a baby bird before it is pushed out of the nest
He is the best, and I long for his everlasting innocence
An old soul, he sports a Mohawk, fake tattoos, and he plays cars on the rug
I AM IN LOVE

Wishing for protection from evil, I say an extra prayer each night
To keep him from fear, violence, and fright
To my grandson, I shall remain with you, forever
I AM IN LOVE

i am in Love with the thought of you
the way you look...the things you do
all the pain you have been through
& the way you touch me too
& i have only been able to say that to less than few
because to me most just wont be true
but you are so real in each & every clue
