MrAlptraum said:Old Albert's Visit

Another night with the electric sedative.
TV: the single man's mistress.
All the visual focusing can drain a man,
and his brain.

In an attempt to stimulate some retired cells
Albert ventures to the kitchen
for a double intake of a single malt.

With his blood thinned and chest warmed
he returns to his living room, but
his focus was drawn to the corner of the room.

By the old, dull faded-green-curtains
was a metallic black creature with lightning-blue veins
standing, watching Albert.
It appeared to be expressionless
and had the body of a child,
a head the size of a large balloon
with eyes that belonged to some tropical insect.

Albert was old and had life all worked out,
he tried convincing himself he wasn't seeing right,
but scared and shocked he shouted in attack:
"Get out my house! Get out!"
His words more of a screeching panic
than a shout.

The creature's eyes seemed to pierce Albert's thoughts.
A voice entered Albert's head, but no normal voice.
It was like a swarm of bees, changing pitch and tones
manifesting as a human droning speech.
It said:
"We have no more resources,
we breed weekly, Earth will suffice."

Old Albert was more offended than shocked
at this radio-brained communication.
With a bit more whiskey in his voice he snarled:

"Your just like the fucking Chinese!
You're better off away from here,
these kids will rob your grans and
steal your ship's radio and have you seen
the prices of petrol?
We're running on empty too my friend
we'll bleed you dry.
Your fucking eyes might twitch like an insect's,
but we are all consuming bacteria!"

Albert turned to reach for his bottle, enraged.
As he turned back the curtain stood alone,
on the TV was something about zombie snails.
Albert always enjoyed the wildlife programs.

Oh goodness. i knew you could do this one. perfect. this is like whispering sick nothings in my wet ear from reading this.. lol. cool as hell.

Here is my dark and twisted take on the subject...

- Ancient Aliens -
An adventure into fear!

Part One – The Explorer’s Fate

Within the darkness black as is obsidian,
Cast off, by the ones who came down…
Forgotten by man, and forever forsaken.
Therein, came but a single solitary sound:
A scream, shrill and piercing as a shriek!
For an errant explorer had met his god…
Only to discover, all too late, how weak,
How frail is man before the Divine’s rod.
No mortal hands moved that old stone…
Which was worked to form an evil place.
But things not of all human flesh or bone,
For they were born in far distant space…
Brought to work for masters more awful.
Gods to some, but ones far from lawful!
Titans some called them, but such names,
Are fleeting, where burn immortal flames.

Part Two – Dweller in Darkness

Worship is sometimes born from horror,
From fear of that which is truly unknown.
So it was for that ancient, dead explorer,
Whose piety: into pure terror had grown!
The sealed door he had opened, curious.
One marked with symbols that did glow,
With energy that crackled so uproarious!
From unseen forces that thusly bestow…
Either, blessing or curse unto humankind.
And what of that which brought his end?
It waits there still, without tether to bind,
Its’ form, which in darkness must fend…
For it is the last of its’ kind, cast so low.
Its’ inhuman cries, true madness to sow!
The female of its’ species, it was mighty,
A goddess far different, from Aphrodite!

Part Three – The Bold Priestess

The ones who fashioned its’ cursed hide,
They watch in secret, waiting for an hour.
Eyes intent, where such beings do abide!
For they are aliens ancient in their power.
A priestess of an ancient faith long past…
Had come to the place, beyond the dark.
Her guide was the explorer who at last…
Fell to the thing to which none may hark.
She saw the creature and knew real fear,
But was wise enough to flee its’ grounds.
Unto the hidden place she so drew near,
Where the power of alien gods abounds.
She would put a stop to their cruel plans,
And banish them beyond all mortal lands.
But she was not prepared to so witness…
That which would leave her mad, witless!

Part Four – Domain of the Titans

She beheld them: titans on their thrones…
Seemingly dead in a stasis unfathomable!
Their minds were wiser than old crones…
Whilst their forms were far more terrible!
Melded to their machines, so grotesque,
That it was hard to tell, their true shapes.
The priestess called to them, to thus ask,
If they would leave this world to escape:
The deluge that was coming, to punish…
For gods warred and continents did fall!
Atlantis itself, would very soon, perish…
And so it was time to heed an older call.
One of the beings was moved to action,
By the plights of that condemned nation.
The engines of their craft, began to hum,
But one final activity needed to be done.

Part Five – The Watchers Depart

She felt its’ hand on her face grasping…
As tendrils of thought, entered her mind.
Answers to questions none were asking,
To her subconscious, thereupon to bind!
A fluid poured into her mouth unbidden,
Which at the time seemed only as water.
But there was more to it secretly hidden,
From even she, that so sacred daughter!
And long after the titans departed Earth,
She lingered in their halls, in the black…
For therein she changed, and gave birth:
Only to perish, torn from front to back.
Her child, the hand that slew her cruelly,
Waited for the next explorer’s fatal folly.
He and the female creature did breed…
When humans came, the aliens did feed.

"Sunrise"

Dear Alien(s):

What if

every man, woman and child,
every animal, bird and reptile,
every president, vice-president and the house of representatives
every doctor, psychiatrist and therapist
every religious leader and non-believer
every sinner, hustler and stripper
every lover, cheater and abuser
every junkie, alcoholic and loser
every prostitute, madam and pimp
every rockstar, pornstar and gimp
every lesbian, homosexual and transgender
every judge, jury and executioner
every con, criminal and escapist
every mugger, killer and rapist

were to implode in a blaze of glory?

And from afar,
beneath the gaze of clairvoyant eyes,
some other alien life form whispers:
“Look at that beautiful sunrise.”

Now do you really want to conquer earth just to end up being some other species sunrise and not your own?

(an old entry tweaked for this comp.  Hope you don't mind, Jack)

Alien Story

Strangers like us won’t like Zoobydoo’s
They don’t like to dwell in planets, they are galaxy trotters.
They may zeal for emotions in their pretty long quests
But they are made of sharp metals that may rust in blood
And decompose them into mere human beings like Shakespeare.
Maybe those lost species are numerous in an infinite world
Like special symbols created to be pasted in a fast scrolled excel sheet
But they are suspected like a virus of invasion in a plateau called earth.
One day they will form their own cluster and constitute like a Saturn ring
Whatever may be they will have their own journey, we are all cosmic travelers.
