Josh said:so much to enjoy in the tone of this, josh
my very favourite lines are these:
So you slowly learn the secret language of the soul
and suddenly you find there’s treasure everywhere;
earth to spirit where the process of creativity
and long practiced mastery hold the key;
it’s where miracles happen spontaneously -
sudden moments of happiness invade one’s life
and even heavenly seconds of being surprised by joy.
Life becomes a sacred balance between tools for conviviality
and the wisdom of the desert.
a clever write, a philosophical tone, but enlightened by the message in the lines above. every title placed lends credence, each placement enhances the body of the write.
i'm left balancing the whale and the reactor. thankyou![](/images/forum/smilies/cool.gif)

so, thankyou thankyou thankyou everyone who entered this little competition; you provided me (and all readers) with some great mind food. i hope y'all enjoyed it as much as i did reading all the submissions.
my winner, for its eloquence, use of titles for overall depth of meaning and uplifting message is josh's In My Own Words.
my two runners up are Rex Durkin's Diary Entry # 87 for the skilfull way the titles were employed and the smiles it gave me - and Tallen's Philosophy For Life for its quirky, fun philosophy (for life, even!)
everyone, and i mean EVERYONE, made this a great pleasure to host. thanks again.

Thank you butters - This was a great idea for a comp and I feel I have learned so much about others from being given a glimpse of their book shelves. I'm honoured to receive the cup. Congrats too to Rex & Tallen - what an interesting range we read. And it's uplifting to know people still read books.
(PS: how do you add that last line in postings with the small-print in brown, usually some favourite quote?)

this was a cool way of introducing titles to others they may not have read. glad you enjoyed the competition!
go to My DU, click edit profile, scroll down to bottom of page where it says signature/pm sig and just type it in, save changes
