A typical Sunday morning

As I looked into her blackhole,
I knew she needed to use the porcelain thrown
As I waited, I began working on my origami birds
20 minutes later, I heard a swishing, whirlpool like sound coming from the bathroom
She was like, "I'm cuckoo for cocoa puffs"!
"Ok, Let's eat!"

Of Star and Shadow

Your eyes are the only lights,

but in lieu of a kiss,
of a renewing smooch,

I find only the shadow
of you being here,

only the infinite blackhole
left by your paramount star.

Time: Love’s Lie

Time
         traces imperceptible lines
porcelain ducks
frozen in glacial melt

         devours everything
silently stealthily
advancing or circling
origami swans whirlpooling in air

Is it love or a lie
dawdling here in the blackhole
of time tick-tocking away

at least that is what the cuckoo
clock would have us believe.

Grateful Steps

Love once knocked upon my door,

Soft and sweet, I craved no more.

Dreams were spun in golden thread,

Promises whispered, hopes widespread.

One taught love—a gentle flame,

A warmth that never stayed the same.

One taught loss—a sudden chill,

A silence echoing, deep and still.

One taught patience, one taught pain,

Each a lesson, not in vain.

Through the sorrow, through the ache,

I found strength I feared would break.

Tears that fell like summer rain,

Watered roots that would remain.

From the ashes, new blooms grew,

A heart once shattered, born anew.

No anger lingers, no regret,

Only love and lessons met.

Each farewell, a guiding light,

Leading me to clearer sight.

Now I walk a path untold,

No need for hands I used to hold.

With love for self, I stand, reflect—

Thank you all, but now—what’s next?
