Hallucinating Alices.
Once upon a time, three Alices decided to leave their parents' house and live alone. Alice of Oz, built a pink palace by the sea on a remote beach in Thailand. Alice Snow, made a sand castle in the clouds that hover over Mauritius. Alice Joana Catarina Maria Isabel Sandra Margarida Elisabete etc and such, she had a house of cards made in the rainforest of Wonderland.
It turns out that the Alices had a common enemy, who wanted to eat their raw livers for breakfast. The Callipygian Witch, a perverse woman, who, with the help of magical arts, would soon try to overturn the abodes, and glitter dreams, of our little, bio-nasty princesses.
However, and one cannot help but say, luckily, nature took care of distorting Calli's desires and drastically reducing her efforts.
As obvious consequences of global warming, which we all feel, almost all of us pretend not to feel and which very few, on the whole, will survive.
A violent tsunami in the Pacific Ocean and a fire of infernal proportions, in the parched forest; forced the two Alices, surviving victims, to ask for political asylum, and shelter for their friend Neve, in the Tropics.
Pygia - which is the second possible abbreviation of the name of our esteemed and powerful sorceress - considered this sudden push of the natural forces, to her dreams, as an unprecedented stroke of luck and, taking advantage of her lycanthropic abilities, waited patiently for the coming full moon...

Air Castles III: Inheritance
Like visions, places nudge us
through inheritance, striking
remembrance rooted in sulfur
rekindling the Spirit of blood
Communion was Love, an ancestor
soft reminder of its ever-presence
When I woke, I couldn’t remember
its Castle of crystal compass
Then from his room, dreaming away
dawn, my grandson began to laugh
and I slowly remembered
from where it was I came
and smiled at the prospect of hope

You and Your Pooch
A dog
A park
Much foliage
You pitch the ball
She zips after it
Skips back
to slobber and tail-wag
Many years since
the days
The days when
it seemed like
you couldn’t be
The days when
you pondered an end
each nanosecond
Now, you have
your pooch
Now, to find
the pooch’s
perfect partner guardian

Flight of Fancy
I shall persevere with my dream
to be among those far flung stars,
as do those clever folk who scheme
to land a poet there on Mars.
I've heard it called a desert world
a planet devoid of all life
but I have seen the sunlight curl
round rocks like girl's curl round their wife.
Curious as I am I’ve also heard
the whispering breeze shape the sand
into the finest feminine curves
far finer than Angelo’s hand.
The graduations within these reds
from war-like red to gentle pink
have spirited me so, my dreams are fed
to one day sojourn there thus, I think..
To be on the great wing of Maven
if opportunity should occur
and launch me into this red haven
Mars, I shall sleep now, dream myself there...

as do those clever folk who scheme
to land a poet there on Mars.

"362 Steps"
Upward I climbed, with heart in flight
To pierce the heavens' boundless height
Where stone and sky in silence meet
And winds like spirits round me beat
O’er narrow stair and shadowed nave
I sought the spire the clouds would brave
Each step a prayer, a breath, a sigh
Drawn closer to the waiting sky
At last, I stood where saints once tread
Where holy light by stars is fed
And from that perch, all earth below
Fell small beneath the morning’s glow
There in the heights, ‘mid bells and air
A dream fulfilled, a whispered prayer
The world unfurled, both fierce and fair
In heaven’s hold, aloft in air
Upward I climbed, with heart in flight
To pierce the heavens' boundless height
Where stone and sky in silence meet
And winds like spirits round me beat
O’er narrow stair and shadowed nave
I sought the spire the clouds would brave
Each step a prayer, a breath, a sigh
Drawn closer to the waiting sky
At last, I stood where saints once tread

Seven Years Free
I once dreamed of skies unbound,
A life where silence held no sound,
No echoes of rage, no shackles tight,
Just open doors and peaceful night.
My heart, a bird in a shadowed cage,
Longing to flee the storms of rage.
I painted dreams in midnight hues,
Of a home where love would infuse.
Seven years since I broke away,
Carved my freedom, claimed my day.
A house I call my very own,
Where laughter rings, where seeds are sown.
The past, a ghost, it haunts no more,
Its whispers lost beyond my door.
I dreamed of wings, of skies so blue—
And now I soar; my dreams came true.
A life where silence held no sound,
No echoes of rage, no shackles tight,
Just open doors and peaceful night.
My heart, a bird in a shadowed cage,
Longing to flee the storms of rage.
I painted dreams in midnight hues,
Of a home where love would infuse.
Seven years since I broke away,
Carved my freedom, claimed my day.
A house I call my very own,
Where laughter rings, where seeds are sown.
The past, a ghost, it haunts no more,
Its whispers lost beyond my door.
I dreamed of wings, of skies so blue—
And now I soar; my dreams came true.
