Your Own Frankenstein
Memories crook a silent wind
in philosophies point of view
of roads less taken
as you lose your youth
and become your own Frankenstein
of a narcissistic embicile
playing the fool
in philosophies point of view

In the Void

And there I stood,
Not wanting to go nor stayed.
I was behind all the fast rushing trees,
Amidst the racing cars,
I stood still, not because I lacked,
But because, I was scared.
Not to be caught up in my flaws,
Nor to show other my claws.
Afraid they'd judge me,
For the monster in me.
It got a win, for not surging the race,
But for leading my pace.
But that monster you hide,
Is the true soul, till the end of the tide.

Corpses and brides

Frankenstein's monster
asked for a companion
to dispel the loneliness
of understanding humanity
and his place outside

And she was destroyed,
on the eve of her birth
lest the evil of the pair
propagate and take over the world.

There is truly nothing
but the next
shuffling step forward
and the broken promise
of a moment in time
understood.
unalone.

Hollywood

Holy world breaks in the fake future promise of
fame, diamond-draped monsters and unsafe lonely
landscapes, stealing stardom from children for others'
unsavoury purposes: smile and appease, please!
This burden enslaves when the limelight won’t save
and when the spotlight tires, trauma erupts
into cracks, desperation looks like acting out,
alcohol, and drugs, addicted to attention, then depression
and the public outraged, cries out ‘shame!’, and cancels them.
‘They should bow to their luck!’ like this
full motion picture hasn’t all been staged for us
the prettiest of scenes veils the darkest of shadows,
dreams we need to believe only forces our souls
into becoming our very own Frankenstein.

Death Rides a Pale Horse

She admired her handiwork
from atop a war-horse steed
reflected in post-rain pools.

Memories, eviscerated
on steaming battlefields--
lifeless, finally.

She'd sliced them out
then stitched herself back together
better than before

But left a small opening
to remove her heart
should it get broken once more

She wiped the death from her sword,
and with the pale horse
rode into the unknown.

Dead on the Inside

I'm your own Frankenstein
My body,
Only held with twine.
A shock, you are,
All the time.
I creep around,
A zombie,
Watching.
I want you, mine.
Loyal, and dedicated;
My patronage.
I'll sign.
