Isn't there already a February comp running? Does this replace that one?

Clouds Collide
clouds like white cotton candy
fluffy in the sky of blue
tuck together and dance merry
when wind comes their way
as two strangers meeting by chance
eyes meeting and sparks ignite
hands reach out for gentle touch
needs and desires come into light
when clouds drift and collide
within the confine of nature's dome
magic ignites and they coalesce
and thunder and lightning are born
Strangers embrace become as one
falling in love in a dizzy whirlwind
colours subdued become so bright
when they fell in love at first sight
as clouds collide in a soft embrace
strangers love story written for a space
clouds when tempest grow strong, vanish
as love disappears with life's temptations
as clouds in vast skies
as strangers torn asunder
in heavens stars shines
on earth the heart weeps
fluffy in the sky of blue
tuck together and dance merry
when wind comes their way
as two strangers meeting by chance
eyes meeting and sparks ignite
hands reach out for gentle touch
needs and desires come into light
when clouds drift and collide
within the confine of nature's dome

Vision of the Blind Cyclops
Understand, before we were born our mama did suck a dick
Truth we all have to swallow so fuck trying to spit,
“Living life everyday our breathing can be considered rent
Everything extra is a headache and ninety-nine percent bullshit,
“It seems everyone forgot who were the original people of the new land
Let me refresh everybody’s memory it was the native Indian,
“Until reservation exiled and almost catching a Palestinian genocide
Now with illegal immigrants they are trying to move black folks to the side,
“Ignoring the US border until it became a critical issue
Now motherfuckas want to make it political,
“Assassins, families, terrorist and all others they are letting across
Bringing America to its own slow holocaust,
“Shit getting so high it has became an enema to the American dream
That is why negativity has become the nightmare supreme,
“The Game of Thrones night kings sit comfortably on capitol hill
Running shit ass-backwards without a care and with cold blooded chill,
“But to the rest of the world here is the motherfuckin twist
Even with ten percent of what the US have you bitches can only wish,
“The US may not be the same super power, but we still wear the cape
And without our help many countries would be living an apocalyptic fate,
“Going back to aids infested Africa-not no time soon
And fuck Europe they are in economic doom,
“Back in the day when I traveled throughout it was a beautiful place
But like painted shit on French government walls it is now a NATO disgrace,
“China is the only ones it seems are doing infrastructure right
Because many countries cannot match their ingenuity that’s shining so bright,
“I guess a foot to ass, strong culture and a willingness to lead
With personal pride and futuristic vision there is nothing that one can achieve,
“It is time for humanity to wake up from its long sleep
And quit following for these weak ass leaders like blind sheep,
“With wars, hate and fuck shit we need to stop the bitch move
Or we will cause our own nuclear destruction where everybody will lose”.

I'm Still Healing
I'm trying hard to be
The best me I can be
Have a little empathy for me
I have so many scars
Due to my tumultuous past
I'm still healing from my
Caretakers misdeeds
It's taken me so long
To learn to love myself as I am
To truly believe I am enough
But now I know I can
Life has never been easy
I just go with the flow now
Please don't criticize me
I'm taking baby steps
To get where I was meant to be
My progress is rather slow
But it moves so steadily
I may have a long way to go
Just remember I'm still healing
The best me I can be
Have a little empathy for me
I have so many scars
Due to my tumultuous past
I'm still healing from my
Caretakers misdeeds
It's taken me so long
To learn to love myself as I am

Risk
you don't care about me
inside me I know it
I'm fine with the hurt
sadness understands me
sorrow covets who I am within
my deep feelings are real
I seek the truth of me
honesty answers me
with a wave of bare emotion
I feel the gentleness of the moment
secrets deep in the shadows reveal themself
confessing they love the pain
showing me their nature
I know I am heaven sent
it's a risk I had to take
loving you wasn't an option
it was fate
a soulmate
someday you'll know
what you had in me

Women’s Rights
A zygote is a person
you say
In or out of the womb
God’s creation
you decree
So has rights!
Already a person
Until they are born
[a woman]
then
rights dissolve
[because its a woman]
A woman’s rights are now
dictated
by
another’s religion
Rapist’s conceptions
have more rights
[than the woman]
A fetus that won’t live
has more rights
[than the woman]
A baby, dying in the womb
has more rights
[than the woman who grieves and may die for the life lost]
A baby conceived
because
an employer’s religion denies birth control
Has more rights
[than the woman]
A pharmacist denies emergency contraception because of their beliefs
Give them more rights
[than the woman]
Parents that object to meaningful sex education
Have more more rights
[than the woman who needs sex education]
A woman who made a mistake
[sluts don’t have rights]
A condom broke
god’s will
[overrides the rights of the woman]
Once you had rights
then
you were born
a woman.

I...We...She
I am a masterpiece
of misfiring wiring
half healed wounds
carefully tended to keep fester at bay
sometimes they need to remain open
for proper healing
from inside out
ventilating
because sealing to scar...
while infection brews within
can be fatal
I am a conundrum
of empathy & mistrust
guarded nature with an open heart
compassion
tempered by damage
both understanding
and afraid
experienced in hidden daggers
lodged in caring back
as open palms offer solace
...giving is done
despite expected pain
I am a hollow
filled with laughter
tears & grief
broken glass memories
shards embedded in emotional flesh
a chalice holding the essence
of life & death
every breath in between
absorbent
soaking in every lesson
an eternal evolution
...of higher self
I am goddess
I am woman
I am she
She is me

In The Eyes of Sarajevo
I see a retreating host of forest greens
the patchwork camouflage, cut through
Seemingly tranquil, turquoise mountain streams
an immense force when in full flow
carving empires anew
Strong coffee browns, silent soulful oaks
amber charred yet, no
Passions such a place invokes
Waters, woodlands, iridescent pale blue skies
all captured in the eyes of Sarajevo
the patchwork camouflage, cut through
Seemingly tranquil, turquoise mountain streams
an immense force when in full flow
carving empires anew
Strong coffee browns, silent soulful oaks

Kaleidoscope
So I smashed the kaleidoscope
against my own self imposed walls.
An explosion of fractal fragments, each
shimmering little reflections of life.
Funny how the light dances off of them
and blinds me with my own memories.
Their sharp edges remind me of the
eggshells once walked. Tiny tender
bloodied feet, sticky with contention,
a rage held behind lips sewn shut.
I held the needle and thread.
Of course some of the brokenness
landed on me. Some of the cuts leaving
scars that still haunt me. I shake off the
crumbs of abuse and sometimes those
close to me choke on them. Soon spitting
them out as though nothing happened.
I refuse to be held by the gravity
of someone else's sin.
Releasing each glimmering memory
of the kaleidoscope into the universe.
I imagine them as stars bright in the sky
on those nights that are a little too cold.

It's All Your Fault
And it's Jesus' fault too.
He set me up.
Got sick of me being a female Morrissey
full of (fake) apathy
and emotional nihilism
to the point of
not.
ever.
seeing.
you.
coming.
Happy now?
Both of you---Jesus and you.
Succeeded in blindsiding me with
possibilities
and thoughts, I'd locked away
and the flush that swells up in me
when you call me "Babe".
Now I have to exercise out, the bump of fat
that filled in the spot
where my uterus was
so I don't
look a little pregnant
with the baby I can't ever give you
but wish with all my not-so-cynical-anymore,
heart,
that I could.
I tried not to love.
Tried real hard.
Failed real hard.
Fell real hard,
enough to wash away all the past hurts
with the tears I should have cried
many times
to.
just.
let.
the.
past.
go.
I want to wear a pretty dress
whenever the opening credits roll
announcing the future
while we run, laughing on a beach
any beach
and you'll bring your guitar
and we'll make up songs as we go
and my dress will be purple
to match the veins in my ankles.
It's all your fault
that I fell in love with you.

The deed tree
From angles to tangled limbs
It speaks to me
Silhouetted and souless
Half buried rusted iron at its feet
By clay muddied waters
Pooling brown - gray
Sometimes it's pointing
Other times beckons the rain
Always with a ragged face
Deed tree, I understand
It happened
I'm sorry
