FROM TOURNAMENT QUEEN TO HER FAVOURED KNIGHT

Oh come my knight, show forth your lance
if you would venture to romance.
Before me tilt rivals away,
win place by me on wedding day.

Of my honour be defender
against its would-be offender.
My defences none else shall break;
if I become the choice you take.

Take your place in fullest armour.
Once ringed, you can show your ardour
in confines of chamber bridal,
sweep me up in passion tidal.

Heaven Above, and Earth Below

I walked the gardens 'twixt the graves
and came upon the one, not saved.
The query posed was of a love;
she, in Earth, 'neath Heav'n above.

Such words did set my mind to ponder--
mine heart once beat with his, back yonder
when he still walked the Earth with me
and Heav'n was too far to reach.

And now the veil 'tween worlds is thin,
I see in dreams, the Heav'n he's in,
and feel the Earth still 'neath mine feet
goodbye, my love, 'til again, we meet.

Weep On The Morrow

doth thou desire a dalliance like I do
in your chamber of secrets
crave the taste of flesh
inside your arms sacred

weepth the angels on the morrow
dearest lord has thou discovered
the way my breath catches in my throat
my bodice heaving
my blush deepening when thou approaches

what have I to do with these feelings?

thou art a gentlemen
I but a wretch
a wench of no importence
stowing away my emotions

lest I be called a witch
who doth put a hex on thee
upon my honor I've done no such deed

you crave me in the night
when the moon is ripe
cast your eye upon the raven no more
and giveth yourself over to a temptest whore

then be done with me

Loves alchemy (sonnet)

What torment beats within? its whisper leaks
your lips covey and eyes that are the wells
I in desolation seek, you to entreat
the alchemy to bind your heart with spells

Could we in scented gardens hold a trist?
in levitation, bare buds to sweetly bloom
comely, a bee doth court, nectar sweet it sips
to find thee and persue, I so was consumed

Oh! are my hopes just foolish vanity
a knave, unwothy to face a knightly quest
an amulete or charm, star dazed astrology
hold the key, and cupid try his best

`Twas not for charletion cad or fop
I claim the handkerchief she dropped

Lost Love

No woman sheds o'er his afflictions warm tears,
no friend whom he loved, or who loved him was near
no coffin confined this soldier boy's breast,
nor prayer arose from his place of rest

Lend me your wings my gentle dove,
o lend them for a while
fain would I spread them wide & fly,
far away perished, infinite miles

My Only Light

Sweet rose 'tis blood I see upon thy thorns.
Be this a man's regret of touch retold?
For all that is beautiful also warns,
In reaching, many things are hard to hold.

So soft upon the eyes to gaze at such.
The innocence of petals often aches.
As now the sorrow bleeding is a much
a reminder of all the soul forsakes.

Blessed be my love, warmed by sun's embrace.
Now fully bloomed that all her glory shown.
The light of radiance upon her face.
Such remedy to call this love my own.

So as this day surrenders into night,
know this my love, you are my only light.

"Beneath my balcony thou yet dost come
to croak thy crowns of sonnets' fitful feet
and with thy thumb thy lute off-key flat strum
as hoots of laughing owlets screech offbeat.
By night my bed of roses thou dost pick
despite bad eyes and footings less than sure
besides the shrieks with each sharp thorny prick
or fall upon thy puss in fish manure.
On Valentine's my sweetmeats thou dost scarf
while swigging down thy cans of cheap Plonk wine
till both my Vera Wangs steeped deep in barf
thy cans of bargain bubbly full decline.
But still thou art my sole new soulmate true
true keen to clean my chamber pot of poo."

Silent Shadows of A Castle's Dance

In the biggest ballroom that once held the loudest Galas.
Into the biggest pocket of time where echoes surround us.
Empty and abandoned this castle is a lot like most people.
Happy, full of life, and glowing as the days go by.

Until one small tick causes a ripple in time.
A place that used to hold so much management.
Now so empty and left abandoned and stranded.
If you think about it, this castle could represent my love.

The love I’ve had for you that I can’t contain very well.
I’ve tried to push you away but god it hurts like hell.
Because you’re no good for me in this place of my own personal hell.
I love you but, like this place, that love feels like I’m chasing my own echo.

I’ve second guessed my shadows and my own voice from a distance.
I’ve chased down what I thought to have been ghosts.
But still I’m sitting in just an empty castle.
As empty as it could be.
Not a sound for miles, just me, it, and the midsommar breeze.

Hopefully one day you’ll show up and put me at ease.
To let me know this chasing I’ve been doing for so long won’t go unseen.
But better yet not to chase it, and let it come to me.
I’ve tried doing both but I’m stuck here helplessly.

Hopefully the day you show up to put me at ease.
It’ll be soon and not for another century.
Because like this castle that’s been left to sit and be forgotten,
There are a few things that it, and I have in common.
You see we both share the hope that the ones we were built for, decide to finally come home.

Smug crushers who recieveth thyn cards

I hate thyn own self for checking
that no one gives a shit
about this spotty teenage,
gangling git.

I senteth you a card worth a silver Pennie,
sealed with a loving kiss
thy pimpled arse you bitch,
you'll never knoweth what thy'll never miss.

I loveth you, I loveth you, I loveth you almighty
and all them clever rhymes like thus,
wishing my night shirt were next to your nighty,
but since though doth not know me, thats un-fucking likely.

Thine classroom poppets are talking in tongues,
who's dead fit and who might of sent it,
bring on the soldiers boo haa brigade,
square shoulders and jaws, how thy doin babe?

I know my place and to keepeth out of the way
of parading pricks on thoust special day.
But what becometh of our ugly lot
the ones whose dicks can't piss in thoust pot?

We asketh of each other the same tortured question,
did thy get a card from a name we can't mention?
socially excluded our Roses doth be read
but love be a tissue, stucketh to the bed.

Courtly Love

Beloved Isolde, queen of my heart!

Sun is such a cruel torturer
Taking way too long
To trade places with Lady Moon!
The only light mote she be
To illuminate our rendezvous!

When I close my eyes
I see thou right in front of me
An enchanting smile on thy face.
Neither diamonds nor flowers
Compare to thy beauty and charm!

Hand me thy velvet cloak, beloved.
Our bridal bed shall it be.
I don't need any culinary delights.
All I desire is to taste the sweetness
Of thy heart shaped lips.

Take off thy bonnet, my love.
Let the golden wave of thy hair
Flow freely down thy back.
The night is so cozy and warm.
May I untie thy gown?

Oh my coy mistress!
Shyness straws red rosebuds
On thy cheeks, neck and chest!
There's a kiss for every crimson petal
On thy lily-white skin!

No magic potion could ever produce
An eternal love like this!
Our bond was sealed in heaven
Long before thou and I
Have seen the light of day!

In thy delicate hands I lay
My hope, my fate and my life!
Until my last breath I shall be
Thy devoted knight in shining armor
To fight for thee and our love!

Forever thyne!

Whilst Mine Gittern Softly Doest Weepeth

i
Oh fair maiden, thy beauty is something which hast engulfed mine own soul
I have been smitten by the emotion of pure love yond many men has't seeketh
Thus I composeth this song dedicated to thy heart so that I may seeth thee again
Pouring mine own heart to thee whilst mine gittern softly doest weepeth

ii
Today I hath found myself compelled to pen a poem inspired by thy exquisiteness
I hath felt as if the Almighty Lord spake and gaveth me the word to sealeth and keepeth
Thus I sung a song to the birds and they hath heard of mine love I sing for thee
The verses from mine own heart whilst mine gittern softly doest weepeth

iii
Beauty, everyday I seeth thee in the king’s courtyard mine own spirit soars in the sky
Thy presence maketh the flowers coequal more stunning whenever thee speaketh
So I prim and prime a rhyme every time thine eyes cometh mine way so intense
I feeleth mine heart reeleth heavy whilst mine gittern softly doest weepeth

iv
Beloved, the days pass like seasons in a year passing since thee has’t did not reply
I immerse myself in every poem and verse I writeth at night while thee sleepeth
I am trying to findeth the courage to declare this love for thee, visage to visage
And recite the sonnets I has't penned whilst mine gittern softly doest weepeth

v
Oh mine own broken heart cannot beareth to beest apart from thee fair maiden, fair lass
Destiny hast been cruel to me by revealing heaven on earth as I didst peeketh
I shall leaveth these words behind so gents may knoweth about thee centuries from anon
About the love I sung for thee whilst mine gittern softly doest weepeth
