The Fall of Jussie Smollett
A name that once shone bright,
Now steeped in controversy and blight,
Jussie Smollett, a tale of deceit,
And the consequences he must meet.
Once a star of the Empire,
With a voice that could inspire,
But then came the fateful night,
And with it, a twisted plight.
A story of hate and assault,
Or so he claimed, without fault,
The world rallied to his side,
But soon his tale would be denied.
The evidence began to show,
A fabrication that began to grow,
The truth was finally revealed,
And the world, in shock, kneeled.
Jussie's name was now tarnished,
His actions, widely admonished,
A cautionary tale of dishonesty,
And the cost of such a fallacy.

Juicy Lies
He cried wolf but now he weeps
All those lies caught up to him real quick
Meanwhile others are suffering from hate crimes
The world can be an ugly place but some people are sick
Was it for the attention? The spotlight?
Well now everybody knows he’s a liar and a fraud
And for the purpose of what? I just don’t understand
The truth revealed itself to break down this odd of facade
It’s all a mess, none of this makes sense
I guess sometimes fame creates some greed
Trying to play a victim says a lot about character
People are getting hurt while this man tried to mislead
Let this be a lesson to anyone who lies
Weave a web and you’ll certainly feel the bite
Because being deceitful has its harsh consequences
Everything done in the dark will always come to the light
