Word up, Rebels! ( Pulling from the Sacred Rebels deck. )
21. BEYOND THE MIND, THE HEART BEATS
Did you realize that your heart is a connective organ to the heartbeat of the Universe? Just as our fingerprints are unique, unduplicated identity stamps, so are our hearts with their unique pattern of rhythm and sound. Filtered through our tangible existence, we are but extensions of the Universal heartbeat which sets the master rhythm for us all.
Our minds are vast and expansive processors in thought, often polarizing the process in erraticlly moody extremes which cancel the previous out, i.e. - absolute assurity vs sudden doubt. This is why focusing on the heart is so important—it is eternal despite out thoughts. Milton said it best once, when he said ( paraphrased ) 'The mind can make a heaven of hell and a hell of heaven." Thus, to rely on the heart is to rely on the Universal connection in physical form.
The heart is subterranean and moves subtly beneath possible obstacles, intelligently shifting with exquisite sensitivity, sensing the way forward through dangerous pathways and responding to what is before it even occurs in the physical world. However, with the heart's intelligence we cannot see and know in the same way that we do when we allow the mind to direct us. We have to be open to another way if we want to benefit from the innate intelligence of the heart.
This is because the mind sees, plans, and strategizes. The heart feels, responds, senses, and intuits. When walking the path of the heart, one must *feel* and respond rather than plan our way. It is a vastly different way of creative life. It is closer to the earth and to the source of life itself. We are taught to think and imagine that somewhere * out there * is a heaven and a god waiting for us, when heaven and god is right here on earth in the realm of your heart.
The role of the mind is to serve the truths of the heart. That is, to create the spacious chamber of receptiveness into which the sacred rhythm of yourr heartbest can resound. Yet too many have it backwards by allowing the mind to dictate matters of the heart.
This message is simple, deep within you, safe from your toughts, is a guidance system which tells you exactly what to do and reveals the truth. Some call this guidance system the *gut*. It doesn't matter what you call it; only that you need it. Your willingness to trust your heart nd to rebel against fear will serve you well. Let your heart lead you. Be sure of your faith and trust in what you feel—not what you think.
How many of you out there have relented to what you thought was reasonable, only to later proclaim, "Damn! I wish I had listened to my gut!" Or, "Damn! My gut is never wrong!" I can guarantee you that not one person can say they haven't experienced this. These situations are here to serve you—they are alerting you that you need to hone in more to your heart, to that guidance system of truth.
It's never wrong.
Happy day all! xo

^ Best damn thing you can do. Although it might be difficult at times if you are a bundle of anxiety. So, find a way to calm the fuck down and then let the guidance take over.
Or at least that is what the card is telling me.

Our Moon is in her 2nd Quarter, waxing toward her fullness this Saturday! This is the perfect time to for magic and to draw things toward you.
She's also moved from sensitive Cancer into Leo this morning around 7:23 AM. Leo draws emphasis to the self, central ideas, or institutions away from connections with others and other emotional needs. People tend to become a bit melodramatic.
Mercury rules the day ( Wednesday ), which means there's a focus on the conscious mind, study, travel, divination, and wisdom.
However, Moonology isn't finished with sensitive Cancer yet, and today's card was New Moon in Cancer: "You and your loved ones are safe"
There appears to be a new start coming in regards to your private life. A strong emphasis is on people and places you hold dearest to you. It can be referring to a family member, a roomate, or even relocation ( moving house ). Whatever new start you are imagining, this card is a good omen and confirms it's possible for you to move forward.
If you've been neglecting those who care about you the most, stop. If you've been neglecting yourself, stop. Take care of yourself, and don't forget those who love you the most.
New Moon in Cancer can be a super emotional time. Combine that with the melodramatic nature of Leo, and you might find yourself in needless suffering. This is typically caused by insecurities. Meditation will help you banish these insecurities. Also, being near water will bring you peace and answers by somewhat quencing the fire of the Leo presence.
This card signifies that whatever happens next will be in your favor if you continue to take care of yourself and focus on your family—those who love you the most, as it's particularly positive for family members.
Happy Day all! xo

What a great reading
From the most recent emotional events in my life I have to say sitting on the banks of the Colorado River puts things into perspective for me
The sound of the current (fast) tells me of life continuing sometimes faster than we realize but to ground myself with the sky the earth and water it has a calming effect
To meditate on the now within this setting is priceless

Being we are comprised of a majority of water, Val, I believe whenever we're near water we feel most at home. And thus more calm and peaceful within ourselves. I am lucky to have access to both rivers and lakes here; however, must drive a few hours to the beach. I have been yearning for the beach lately. It's typically the mountains with their rivers and streams; however, the ocean is calling me.
Thank you for sharing. xo

The one constant in life is change; the moment we gracefully accept that we evolve spiritually. xo
It's an absolutely beautiful day today! I am airing my home out with open doors! The first signs of spring are emerging from the ground, and this was a BEAUTIFUL card from the HERBIARY. Just look at those colors, SO SPRINGLIKE! <3

COMFREY: What Needs Mending?
Comfrey loves to mend—skin, bones, soil, there's so much to do! She dives deep, magicking molecules, rebuilding broken chains, restacking cells into tissue and tissue into muscle. This is joyous work for Comfrey, so she tends to work quickly . . . sometimes too quickly! Her boldness can border on recklessness, and in her mad-scientist exuberance she can get ahead of herself and forget first steps. Cofrey is a reminder to work systematically, starting with the deepest layers and working your way out. Even creative endeavors need to be built on a solid foundation. If Comfrey appears, ask what needs mending, and then pause to assess and plan before diving in.
RITUAL: Breaking Apart
The flip side of mending is breaking. We're trained to appear strong and often feel guilt or shame when we break. But unmaking is as much a part of hte cucle as making. . . and breaking can be incredibly liberating ( if you've swing a sledgehammer during a home renovation project, you know this is true )!
• Find something you can ( safely! ) smash, hurl, stomp on, or pummel. Do it!
• Allow yourself to scream ( or at least grunt loudly! ).
• Nothing like that in your house? Beat up your bed with a pillow!
What you're going for is the moment when your mind stops chattering and you simply release.
REFLECTION: Dissolution
It's easier to break something than it is to repair it. And yet there's a rare release in breaking—in dissolution—that we seldom let ourselves feel. Think of the caterpillar that turns into DNA soup during its time in the cocoon so it ca emerge as a butterfly.
What if you kniew wihtout a doubt that
you could break and be remade?
What if you could find oy in the breaking?
What possibilities might this open up in you?
When real metamorphosis has begun,
we run into a welter of "dissolving" experiences.
We may feel that everything is falling apart,
that we're losing everyonen and everything.
Dissolving feels like death, because it is—it's
the deminse of the person you've been.
~ Martha Beck

DNA Soup . . . now there's a poem in the making.
Do eet! Do eet NOW!
I already found myself in a situation earlier this morning that resulted in me grinding on about something unpleasant. Grinding is looped behavior you don't realize you are perpetuating until you catch yourself doing it and slam the brakes on it.
Change isn't always the result of doing something in a different way. Change also comes about from refraining from doing something or thinking about something in a reactionary manner.
