Yelp Review

Last time I went out for a meal
It cost more than the tab
Diarrhea on the docket
And skid marks in the cab
I was up all night hunched over
Heaving out all that was left
What a way to spend an evening
My compliments to the chef

Cold sweats inside my bedroom
And fevered toilet dreams
I never should have followed fish
With chocolate chip ice cream
An entire pint of bourbon
Was a mistake I must confess
Lord, just get me to tomorrow
My compliments to the chef

Twitching at the shadows
Just can’t keep anything down
The last 24 hours lost
In a haze of green and brown
I’m watching Dawson’s Creek reruns
Bedridden and depressed
Won’t somebody come and shoot me
My compliments to the chef

The ceiling changes color
Just like my white dress pants
I’d do it all so differently
If given half a chance
The way that I’ve been shitting
There’s no point in getting dressed
Gonna sleep in this here shower
My compliments to the chef

Send a priest or send a rabbi
If they can stand the smell
Help me get to heaven
And escape this waking hell
My intestines want to kill me
All my innards are distressed
I’m praying for a quick death
My compliments to the chef

Into the Deep

Drown me in the river, watch me as I sink. Tied together by a dark malevolent spiritual being, descending Into the depths.
The farther I float, the more my mind clouds. Memories flood, they pull me close. The surface of this water, I cannot break through.
It's crowded by the roots of the hollowing tree that looms overhead devouring any light shed by the sun. I touch the bordering line, my skin becomes numb, the lack of the of the touch of the ones that I love. It keeps me secluded and wretches the promise that I'll overcome.
All I feel, the water grows cold.
The pressure breaks my fingers into my hand, in through my arm and down through my spine. My body is aching, surely losing time.
My heartbeats and breaths are slowing and straining. The cavity of my chest now filing with blood, leaking out of my mouth and trailing behind my corpse.
Death is my carriage but I am it's horse

A Smile in the Mirror

If I stare in the double mirror long enough,
There’s an anomaly in the limitless reflections,
And upon closer inspection into infinity,
One of me has a different inflection…

What lies behind these eyes is more than just perception,
A vision of what was and what will be of my own conception,
The image in front of me is just a representation of my mind,
But the figure is without shape or form and somehow confined.

Underneath it all is what I call the other worldly spirit,
Talking to me in dreams when I’m careful enough to hear it,
Every once in a while it comes to me in a smile in the mirror,
Frighteningly obscure when the appearance comes nearer.

I don’t fear it, regardless of size or darkness when I see it,
The soul leaves this body only when death can free it,
But the imagination runs wild with a convulsive twitch,
When from time to time the eye captures a concrete glitch,

Congrats Damon on the win, your rhyme skills and word spills are off the chart sir. Thank you to Blackwolf for hosting this awesome comp and I must say I'm surprised but humbly honored to be runner up.
Hope everyone is doing well.
