lololol! Brilliant!

Teens Are Disguising As Mask-Wearing Grandmas to Buy Beer

Remember the good old days of underage drinking? Cozy up to the one guy with the believable fake ID, or ask your friend’s weird older brother to pick up a $10 handle of 100-proof vodka from the grocery? Well, as we know, the teens are much more resourceful now, so it may come as no surprise to find out that some of them are apparently taking advantage of the current mask-wearing paradigm to don full disguises in order to buy alcohol.

LOL I never touched a drop of alcohol until I was out of high school - that's how much of a partier I was.

I'm pretty sure alcohol sales are gone through the roof these days with lockdown boredom.

Was the first link supposed to be a music video or news source?  The second one is bollocks and simply adding to the hype already surrounding the masks. I have a friend who is a surgical assistant and wears that very mask for hours. I quoted a retired surgeon in this very thread on wearing masks, no one has ever died for wearing one - not even for hours.  Why not wait until the medical reasoning for WHY she passed out vs assuming it could've been the mask?

I agree total nonsense
I owned a landscape business for 15 years in So Cal
I supplied my workers with N95 masks and I wore one also
We deal with Valley Fever in the Desert Southwest
Many have died from it and others have gotten very sick
I developed environmental asthma while working in the field
We wore our masks in 115°+ weather
We never passed out

I think they're both bollox  because they're both agenda driven. the people dont matter to either, what matters is politics. their politics.

my uncle is the head consultant of a hospital, I've friends who are teachers, nurses, and police. like we all have. everyone is saying different things.

nobody knows. so no one here is right about masks. science, pseudo science, is split down the middle

I wear my p.l.o scarf because I'm unsure. how could anyone be sure. so I'm being cautious

It seems Marijuana may be good,  for whatever ails you.
Studies are being done to see if the anti- inflammatory properties of Marijuana  might halt or affect cytokine storms brought on by the COVID-19 Virus .

The co-director of the White House’s coronavirus vaccine development programme will not be required to divest his pharmaceutical company investments or be subject to ethical disclosure rules, reports have said.
Dr Moncef Slaoui, who is currently leading the government’s Operation Warp Speed, has extensive ties to the pharmaceutical industry.
The doctor and venture capitalist is a former longtime executive at GlaxoSmithKline, a multinational pharmaceutical company, and he also recently sat on the board of biotechnology company Moderna, one of the leading companies in the race to develop a Covid-19 vaccine that has received hundreds of millions in government funding.
Two watchdog groups called for the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) to order that the scientist be listed as a government employee or a “special government employee” (SGE) so that he is required to disclose potential conflicts of interest.
Because Dr Slaoui is currently employed as a “volunteer contractor” he is not considered an official government staff member and is therefore not required to adhere to federal disclosure rules.
“The contractual arrangement that regards Dr Slaoui as merely a private contractor appears unwarranted and designed primarily to allow Dr Slaoui to maintain an extensive web of conflicting financial interests without the need to divest of, recuse from or disclose those conflicting interests,” Public Citizen, one of the two watchdog groups, said.

UK health minister calls for ‘urgent review’ after scientists expose ‘over-exaggeration’ of Covid-19 death toll
17 Jul, 2020 11:38
UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock has ordered an “urgent review” into how Public Health England (PHE) calculates coronavirus death figures. It comes after two UK-based scientists highlighted the serious flaw in PHE’s statistics.
Hancock called for an investigation on Friday after confirmation that Covid-19 fatality figures for England include people who tested positive for the deadly virus months before they died. However, in other UK nations such as Scotland and Northern Ireland, they only include deaths in their daily count if someone died within 28 days of testing positive for the disease.
The critical difference in how deaths are recorded may explain why England’s death toll has remained higher than its neighboring nations.
It follows an astonishing article published on Thursday by University of East Anglia professor Yoon K Loke and Carl Heneghan, a professor of evidence-based medicine at Oxford University.
The analysis conducted by the two scientific statisticians showed that PHE has been recording the deaths of people who have previously tested positive for the disease as a coronavirus death – no matter if they had fully recovered from the virus before they died.
A patient who has tested positive, but successfully treated and discharged from hospital, will still be counted as a Covid death even if they had a heart attack or were run over by a bus three months later.
In their damning assessment, the pair insisted that it was “time to fix this statistical flaw that leads to an over-exaggeration of COVID-associated deaths.”
These Covid-19 fatalities refer specifically to people that have died in a hospital setting. It’s not yet clear how many deaths in the community may have been recorded this way.
It comes as the latest UK Office for National Statistics (ONS) figures published on Friday show the death toll involving Covid-19 breaking the 50,000 barrier.
Between March 1 and June 30, there were 50,335 deaths involving coronavirus in England and Wales. 46,736 of those deaths had Covid-19 assigned as the underlying cause of death. ONS’s data is not based on the same apparent anomaly as the PHE figures.
