Dawn (Haiku)

Glowing blush strikes west
Sees the planet now half dressed
 Birdsong welcomes it

SUN CONSISTENCY

The sun shines; clouds come.
People complain: There's no sun!
The sun shines non-stop.

lay of lotus field
in blue fire waves we float
fragile, threadlike time

Feline eyes of light
celadon depth, piety
lengths follicle thrall

Gentle winds blow west
crest morning crow, exultant
shine bringer of light

Traditional Japanese Haiku II 7.0

(i) Spring

Spring has sprung to life
Breeding season results in
Rebirth and birthing

(ii) Summer

Warm Summer sunshine
Photosynthesisising
Pastures greener

(iii) Autumn

Autumn smells of death
Might be a long heavy sleep
Hibernation time

(iv) Winter

White covering snow
Winter blanket gives little warmth
A snap frost can kill

(v) April

April fool prankster
Glues umbrellas tightly closed
Rain showers expected

(vi) January

January sales
To close to the icy winds
Needs a safe harbour

(vii) Seasonal

"May to September"
Summer love temporary
Scottish one night stand

Weeping willows bend
in blush rites of eventide
whispers only love

Solitaire scribble
scrawl of ones own fleeting thought
signpost graffiti

Iris of blue dawn
wave of eternal comfort
gift from open eyes
