Wolf at the Door

Scratching paws on pine
Claws pause, opine
Carnal surrender to Canis
A beastial Bacchanal
Drunk on sanguine sin
Clannish cannibals choke
Alachasia,
It's definitely something they ate
The clinical cures next:
Balsam, Acacia, Cannabis
Can not undo the curse of charnel Chablis
Lycan lyrics clash with the silences
Of so many voices
Forever in chains

My criteria-

Ahavati embraced the spirit of the concept- working over the words and making them connect, coming up with an in-depth cohesive idea and also truly entertaining. I like being surprised and it bowled me over.

Same here, I like being surprised with the use of the words chosen, your poem had that spark of interesting twists and metaphors. Lovely!

Took me days to decide! Enjoyed all the entries. Thank you to all the participants. Will have another Scramblegram coming up.

Oh wow! I am totally shocked! There were some stellar entries in this comp, and I thought for sure they'd take the win.

Congratulations, SatinUGal.  And thank you, Haley, for a fun and challenging comp!

P.S.  Bacchanalianism was the popular choice... I've caught y'all out- you just wanted the opportunity to use the word 'anal'. Yes, I'm onto you, people.
