~Rainbow Girl~
--video feel--

I knew a girl named Rainbow once, she grew up in Liverpool over on the coast.
Her parents were hippies, they talked about love & nice shit like that,
but in reality, they dissed Rainbow.
She told me once in private they hardly ever kissed her.
It was so sad, she was a terrific person.
She was created of every color. Fire hair just like her mum, jade-eye moonstones, her dimpled cheeks fine pink roses.
Her skin was so soft, calves-milk pale with a clean sheen on top.
Her bubbly personality was often overshadowed by black lonely thoughts.
That hue finally got the best of her....colorless carbon monoxide took away her pain in the summer of '81.

Over the Rainbow

On this side of the rainbow is my life
A routine pattern that includes strife.
The other side is bright and tempting
A place where troubles could be ending.

Would my problems all be mended
If I sought where the rainbows ended?
Could my dilemmas all be solved
My past life cleansed and absolved

Uncertain of the way ahead
Perhaps some light will be shed
Relationships need sorting out
Clear up where there is a doubt

They say there is a crock of gold
To find it you must be bold
I'll set out tomorrow if I dare
As long the rainbow is still there

broken rainbow

hidden in clouds of haunted night
stalk monsters
who sin against nature
furtively lurking to avoid detection
as they pour out their cruelty
on those undeserving
screaming and flailing with brutal hands
using such weapons in a ruthless manner
raining down colors upon precious lands
they so young
so small and tender
so filled with hope and innocent trust
thrown to wolves who refuse to see
all chance for a future lies with us
yet they must endure such terrible things
deeds of which they dare not speak
bright and beautiful should arc their skies
fresh with promise and playground games
not darkened marks behind wet eyes
where salt streaks through trails of pain
lurid shades of shadowed blues
newest most vivid upon the surface
and this says nothing of what we cannot see
fading reds and angry puce
as healing once more begins anew
ribbons should be tied in bouncing curls
not staining flesh in furious lashes
I’m begging you
please
shelter and nurture
our boys and girls

RAINBOW POTHOLE

Pothole in the road
Between me and a grade school
God loves those children so
She made this one I know
With her finger to the pavement
She pressed a heart shaped mold
As a speed bump from Heaven
When rain filled the hole
Mixed with runoff gasoline
On top reflected a sheen
Of a pretty rainbow
Smiling at back at me

Located in the alley between me and St. Paul Academy.

Rainbow at the End

You have to get through all of the rain
Before you get to the rainbow like at
The end of a storm. You let it all stain
Your clothes. Let every big and fat
Drop cleanse you. Let there be enough
Fight in you to climb the mountain and
See that you made it through the rough
Patches. Let the majestic colors command
Your attention with a fiery engine red,
Orange like flames from a fire, yellow
Like sunlight, green like a field spread
Right before you, blue like the mellow
Sky and indigo and violet like wildflowers
Blooming. Let it take you to higher powers.

Rainbow Light

Looking through the glittering coloured spectrum
Reds blues and even yellows a beautiful peace bestows me
There’s no diamonds or even a pot of gold, just beauty behold
Water droplets so small, giving beautiful dreams aplenty
Floating through the clouds I see a double rainbow
What a rare beauty unseen, drifting floating in dreams

RAINBOWS NEVER END

Rain from eyes and darkened clouds
The lightning bright and thunder loud
with frightening sights which make me hide
through never ending friendship vowed

At times the sun may fade to shade
as piercing pain grows deep inside
yet rainbows never end their glow
with you, my best friend, by my side

Of Tears and Rainbows

Every time a child weeps in suffering,
Somewhere in the sky a cloud appears,
Receiving the tears the child cries,
Filling the heavens with shades of sadness.

And when all the clouds are gathered,
Filling themselves with all the anguish,
Then the waterworks flow and pour,
On the poor children who are suffering.

Once the rain has passed,
And the air becomes clean again,
A beautiful rainbow then appears,
Remembering the tears of the children,
Giving them hope.
