I'd say the most major differences are probably the ones SatanSperm brought up(mainly lack of empathy).
according to: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/85192141/2006-harris.pdf (the difference is basically survival strategy.)
"..being in a cohesive, mutually supportive (“reciprocally altruistic”) group was adaptive and heritable inclinations favoring group solidarity and adherence to rules have been associated with human reproductive success (Dawkins, 1978; Ridley, 1997). However, we (Harris, Skilling, & Rice, 2001; see also Mealey, 1995; Seto & Quinsey, Chapter 30, this volume) hypothesize that such a general strategy created a niche for an alternative cheating (i.e., psychopathic) strategy. When effective, this strategy is especially selfish, callous, manipulative, and
lacking in empathy."

thank god im not crazy. also what you said kinda reminded me of Dalí.. “The only difference between me and a madman is I'm not mad.”

interesting, good for you... i think ^^
...
The reason i brought up mental illness and creativity is because i read somewhere that a lot of creative peoples parents/relatives suffered from some sort of mental illness.
"[Susan K. Perry, PhD] notes that Carl Jung, "contrasting James Joyce
to his schizophrenic daughter Lucia, said that they 'were like two
people going to the bottom of a river, one falling and the other
diving.' Lucia made random uncontrolled and uncontrollable associations,
while Joyce, though he pushed language to its limits, knew on some level
exactly what he was doing."

some one that read more of his works and compared the viewpoints once said that Machiavelli's "The Prince" was intended as satire, not a users manual,...
sad thing is that every one reads it straight

I can not say much on the topic of psychopaths even though I am pretty sure that i have met a few.
Now i am going to argue devils advocate regarding the link between creativity and mental illness. First off the assumption that mental illness and creativity is absurd in the sense that any human beimg has a creative potential.
Secondly we may be confuaing mental illness with addiction and their link to creativity.Pefectly rational scientists had mental illnesses.
Thirdly to some degree a mental illness can be formed as a result of creativity, which is why i mentioned addiction.
Fourth and final point why are we calling a "mental illness" that with such negative connotations and in the same sentence we use "creativity" a positive thing? It seems ironic.
Hope this helped and I am sorry about this long message.

You don't always know what you have, untill lost.
Knowing that can you really find, or even be
Aware of your mind truly, until it's gone ?

i agree, the main difference then is probably atotal nearly total lack of empathy + other things.

don't apologize. yes, everyone can be creative.
i probably should have been more specific, some people tend to be extremely creative(i think..regardless of addiction, but that's a whole other topic). Im curious to know what everyone's thoughts are on why the most creative of all the creative people are that way, and if it could be due to having a higher risk of mental illness?

from what i've read, schizophrenia is usually more commonly linked to creativity, im not sure about psychopathy.
I was originally asking if anyone has every had any experience dealing with psychopaths... the creativity/mental illness question doesn't necessarily have anything to do with psychopathy specifically. just mental illness in general.
not sure how doing chores fits into the discussion..
