Poetry Contest Description
Justice is blind, or maybe she’s faking — she’ll gladly accept payment in cash.
This comp is extended until 4 SEPTEMBER.

Describe what you think is unjust. Outline the situation, including
the frustrations and battles. Identify the parties responsible and
why it is important that things change.
This can be a political or social situation, in the community. Perhaps a financial or
commercial aspect… the doors are open, show me what you got!
Here are the rules:
Poetry or prose
New or old work
No collaborations
Three weeks (comp will be EXTENDED to 4 September)
One entry per poet only
Bonus twist:
Selected entries will be considered by the editors for publication in the next issue
of Serendipity Magazine. Those chosen for publication will be published under their
username (if you want real or other names, please PM me), and include a link to their
poems here on DU. If you do NOT want to be considered for publication, please PM me.
I will be choosing a winner here for this forum competition on DU, but submissions for
publication are to be considered by the editorial staff at the magazine. Anyone who is
interested in more details, please see the magazine website:

Some DU poets were already published! You can see them in past issues here:

I've got small short story, but it might be to edgy for your taste. Tell me if you have an reservations explicit material.

Are prior competition winners eligible since we're vying primarily for publication?

OK, to be fair to DU etiquette, you can post prior winners and those will go in for review to publication, but will be ineligible to win this comp here. (Please indicate if that is the case.)
The second option is to submit directly to the magazine. Email your work, your name under which it is to be published, and a link to either your DU poems or a website or blog. Send the above to info@serendipitymagazine.net with subject line 'My Unfair Lady'.
I think that is fair. Cheers!
... Ironic that, just realised, considering the comp topic.

Humph ... a haiku, too? Just a statement what justice means to me? Or would that be too simple?

Now, now, snugglebuck. It was your own idea to delete... There is still time to write a new entry. Get writing!
