Haunted by the past
Haunted by the past
A single moment in time
Forever will last
In this memory of mine
Everyday no escape
This memory so stirring
Laid out as a drape
My heart left yearning
Bittersweet this memory
Euphoria interlaced with distress
This all just part of my story
Birth and a brush with death's caress
Sweetness so easy to embrace
The taste pure pleasure
Happiness revealed upon my face
Joy beyond all measure
Bitterness hard to swallow
Sorrow lingers seemingly without end
The feeling left behind is hollow
My heart I long to mend
There in my mind it remains
Part of my tale as told
This memory causing pains
On my heart this is a heavy load
Forever a memory I carry
Pain subsiding as time passes by
Far from me I wish it to ferry
My heart free to soar the sky
In this memory of mine
Forever will last
A single moment in time
Haunted by the past

Photo Album
I looked at my life, unfolding
back to my childhood and the places I hold dear
on through the spaces I'd like to forget
make disappear
the faces now lost that meant everything to me
once upon a different star
another me
into the birth of my child
reflecting on his life with tears in my eyes
stalled on the certificate of death
on his dad
lost for a moment on all we could have had
time seems trapped in these pages
now tattered
how can my life still hang
in these old albums?

A Sullen Silent Night
No mans mind is safe
nor can women’s hearts escape
the sullen silence of a lonely night.
A shrivelled shell of yesteryear
a drunken ghost, an empty beer;
her haunting face that reappears
after the brutal violence of a punchless fight.
A lovers choice brought naught but doom,
your mother’s voice inside the gloom;
my stoned rejoice, the flowers bloom
like a summer joy that found its tomb
in the sullen silence of a lonely night.
Blood flows after battle cries
like pain grows after love has died;
I wallow in her smiling eyes,
after the brutal violence of a punchless fight.
Passion fades and drifts away
a brilliant red that slipped to grey,
as I became a sullen silent night.

Bari Air Raid
SNAAP!!
went the bedsheets, but better
as the algae umbrella
resounded a miniature
prison break... on ice.
Premature maggots
were shocked to a gallop;
rending these penitent angels to fumble
impending sweet phenoty-genocide.
The eschaton fallout
rained mists-es of chemo,
blessing the cavalry
to piss itself bravely,
'tween pesticide backdrafts OF GOD.
Droves of germs jockeyed for saddle
prodding their steedy-flop cattle along.
stirrups dangled
from spastic wet talons
like paranoid brats
impaled upon 'bandoning-tits.
Slurping to noxious
reverbs in time,
the angels gurgled
in tiny sick prayers
indistinguish'ble much
from a water heater... to a dog.
FireCRACKers o' pus under arm,
made off-key harmonious squeals
as the angels and maggots
en masse congealed,
humping the buttery mattress film.
Thus, was the mural
of my Cistern Chapel,
prior my nine-eleven living room.
A perilous print I'll prob'ly pin-up
POST sterilizing the bathroom.

Thank you Grace, for the competition..
Smile's all agape
Lollipops aplenty
on candy cane lane.
An array of all the colors
Within the spectrum of the rainbow.
Fluffiest clouds
Of pure white cotton.
Every structure, and tree, and sign, and rock,
Wrapped delicately and thoroughly,
In plush pillows of goose down.
The ankle high,
'Silky soft to bare feet' grass,
Expressing shades of green,
That define the color..
Elated with childlike wonder
And innocence,
A kiddo at Disneyland,
I take off running full speed...
With a careless disregard
To possible injury,
I leap head long in classic
Superman style,
Testing the supple, down bumpers.
In attempt to reach forth to catch myself,
I find it impossible to extend my arms.
No matter.
I land with a light padded thud.
On my feet,
Again with the same childlike drive as before,
One foot before the other,
I take off in full on sprint..
Goofy look upon my face,
Tongue extended to its limit,
I aim with tenacity,
For the closest sweetness of a red lollipop.
As I reach it I am stopped,
Dead in my tracks.
Tongue, a millimeter removed
From sweet successful contact,
I recieve instead
The 'no taste' of invisible force field.
And as I'm shaken violently
From a thorazine induced trance,
My brilliantly colored,
Happy place of a world shrinks,
Down to an uncomfortable
8x8 padded cell.
"GOD DAMNIT!!" I scream,
My nose still itching like a mofo..
Unable to receive sweet relief
From just one go over with my
'Restrained in the happy jacket' finger.
Fuck...
