Earth is being monitored
watched by an unseen
consciousness from somewhere else -
it has always been
long before humanity
occupied the world
it was known galactically
as it twirled and swirled
through the neverending
plasma in between
stars and planets everywhere -

watching the brutality
knowing it won't last -

Among stones of decayed bones silence weeps
memories of petals in the nightshade sighing
a fragrance of corpse with long fingers
tracing the anatomy of the fetus sack
unraveling the flesh of fish betrayed
dissolving into remnants of cold anchovy
dripping marrow in the dark's cacophony
echoing a symphony in a twilight's requiem
creeping among stones of one's lobotomy
listening to Mama count smack and flying
monkeys

I was back in my village
had a plastic bag in my hand
looking for a bin to throw the bag away
in the house I once lived
An officious-looking young adult
I knew when he was a boy
told me I couldn't leave the bag there
I walked past a group of women
they saw me and whispered
since no one called my name, I walked on
at the old part of the village
I saw a café that looked like a living room
I asked for a glass of wine
A pleasant-looking old lady brought
a bottle, she called young wine
