Battling with light
Open your eyes, to see the light and accept what it has to show you. You may miss something important when stuck in the shadows.
When dark thoughts plague you, and you cannot bare to see the goodness, then allow the light to kiss your closed eyelids.
For its always there, guiding us through - what we can't see in the dark we don't have to. It isn't worth gazing on.
Step out from the shadows and join me as one. Well battle our nightmares together, best weapon, the sun.

Without that light we'd be engulfed. This is fine, inspirational work Whovian. "Allow the light to kiss your closed eyelids." Beautiful line!

really strikes a personal chord with me - I am having great difficulty in seeing the light, even in the day time :-(
you've captured my torment but I am not convinced that the solution is so simple :-)

This poem was written in one of my few good moments, believe me when I say that I understand how you feel.
Sometimes the solution isn't so simple but they doesn't meen we can't try a little harder to see it.
