Image for the poem Gazing upon the blanket

Gazing upon the blanket

Her and i, at the fire we sat
gazing at the blanket, held
soft, attune to the musings
deft fingers touched, kissing
these soft petals belonging
as one constant blossom
what stemmed from the budding
union caressed, years
aching breath, upon breeze
for with one another comes
time cherished hugging
denied for so long
when we did, burst
the glass of inhibitions
there is no wrong
taking right from deny
to us side by side
staking our claim
that our intent
upon campgrounds, was
securely set
and thankfully sound
