Preceding experiences, traumatic and unkind
choosing hope over fear, never resigned
spiritual journey meant to emprise
Consideration for perceptual illusions
prohibiting an unquiet mind’s intrusions
as thoughts are often boldfaced lies
Resolute, upon a prophetic mission
steadfast, firmly holding position
promising future, intended to realise
Leaning into discomfort and pain
disallowing its tyrannical reign
in solitude and reflection, I am wise
Assuredly battered yet never broken
distant memories,...

Her face glows like morning sunlight
warm, inviting and bright
Her hair is like Angela D
and reminds me I still fight to be free
Her clothes reflect the vitality of our original home
the birthplace of the human genome
Her bearing is like that of royalty
like back when we showed Egypt our loyalty
Her essence is as stimulating as caffeine
keep on doing you my beauty Sista Queen

Don't dodge it!

Lit Candle
I held a candle lit
For you to follow
You came close in fear of it
Scared to reveal what’s in the shadow
You ran to the light
Blew it out
Diminishing the spark
No one can see who you are
In the dark
You shed lonely tears
Not wanting to be held
Condemning all who want to hold you
Sending them to hell
Striking a match to light the wick
See all the tears shed behind it
The light that is held is an illusion you know
No one can be this good not even the white is...
For you to follow

Children are the brightest light,
Their blueprint is divine and pure.
they have the gift of clear sight,
they are the future's cure.
Guardian angels, protecting the youth,
please pour your cozy affection;
through their crystal spine so smooth
you establish their I AM protection.
We love the innocent kids,
smiling with stars in their eyes,
let's nourish the spiritual needs
of their curious belief in the skies.

One day I stopped hating
I ceased all meaningless activity
I completed the circle
I set my sights straight
Like an arrow I flew
I stopped acting
I got tired of playing with you
Violence & destruction became my reason for living
My out, my excuse
What is your excuse?

Without hate, without fear, without judgement
I am no better then you
No one knows this better then I do
I just got tired of playing parlor games
