Born in Stornoway, The Isle of Lewis, lived there, North Uist, and Edinburgh before moving to South Africa in Feb 1982, got tired of the Scottish winter weather. Had thirty six brilliant years there and met and performed with a lot of amazingly talented poets, musicians, guitarists, djembe and didge players. Wonderful times. released two books in SA, Thoughts and Reflections Vol 1 which contains a letter from President Nelson Mandela and POKES POetic joKES, great for a laugh. Three CDs, David Nicoll and friends Vols 1,2 and 3. Six CDs as lyricist with MAD Mervyn And Dave.
