reconnect
something i have yet to mention
last i saw my sense of connection
it burned down in an election
during my trip of need, back to New Hampshire in twenty sixteen
the bumper stickers made me wonder
in favor of plowing Hillary under!
pouring gas on people torn asunder
defective memes, darkness up their greasy sleeves
cancel all reliable sources
surveil with sneaky snoopy forces
beat up refugees from horses
film you having sex with a kid, claim it’s something Bernie did
our selected house of lords ...

The wolf of mistreat
We were a pack of wolves who were connected by emotions
We hustled but ate off different plates
I chose to come see where you ate & felt the most comfortable
You made me feel welcomed each time I stayed
You gave full access to whatever whenever I wanted
We started & went hard from the beginning
I saw potential & you assured me it was worth it
The potential I saw was my own image of what I saw in you
Brought to tears in the place I saw you eat at
You mistakenly let me see where...

Traveled with baggage carried by the heart
We spent time together with a pocket full of cabbage
We sat & ate like animals with a plate full of cabbage
You kept a tight grip on the broccoli while we burned through the cabbage
We shined for a while then you showed your baggage
I took care of your baggage like it was trash that need to be taken out
You created affects that only you were able to benefit from
I claimed your baggage before I know how many problems It’d come with

Hey Dudes,
Please don the mask of sanity
And leave it in its proper place
Where it covers the inanity
Of your ugly hominid face.
Place it before your angry brain
Lurking behind those dopey eyes
Where it prevents the character stain
Your baser antics won't disguise.
Oh you can call it one great lie,
That common courtesy of old,
But it's a finer thing to try
Than your sub cortical scold...
Ever the clumsy cliché cuss
As graceless as a blunderbuss
Or any shameless primal act
Demonstrating your lack of tact.

It's with our libraries and teapots
That we cultivate civility
And marvel at concomitant thoughts
In a land of both the brave and the free!
It's how we spend our cloudier days,
For in contemplation lay a story,
And pots and books are the means and ways
Of arriving at cerebral glory...
Or something like the providential eye
And the emanating beams thereof
Which permeate our American sky
With nothing less than our dreams of love,
Showing the world that every day...
Happy pursuits are the AMERICAN WAY!

I kept the sack in the pack Just in case I needed to get back
I kept it close when you started doing the most
We stayed clean even though we had green
I didn’t want much but you offered a dutch
You kept a stash so I wouldn’t use my own cash
you made it a necessity to keep even though I made you weep
You loved gettin loud even if there was no crowd
Throughout all the green we burned through I realized I lost & became the fool

A sword thrust across my throat
To remind me where I reside
Following lesser men
So I stayed my hand
Gave praise when I had none
When his image overshadowed mine
Up there above all the stars
It ain’t an easy thing

A submission of character
Charlatans eat better
These walls get higher
And nothing is bleaker then this
