Questions?
Were you ever loved
For being who you are
Did you hide in shadows
Of an empty body to avoid more scars
Did you ever speak your mind
And pay the price
With bruises and doubts
To sit alone in your room and cry
Would you stand for something
That brings pain and misery
Convicted of its truth
Even when its faith is a mystery
Would you deny your God
If it meant you would die
Or would you turn your back
Just to save your life
For being who you are
Did you hide in shadows
Of an empty body to avoid more scars
Did you ever speak your mind
And pay the price
With bruises and doubts
To sit alone in your room and cry
Would you stand for something
That brings pain and misery
Convicted of its truth
Even when its faith is a mystery
Would you deny your God
If it meant you would die
Or would you turn your back
Just to save your life

The Girl Who Ran
Small hands, big eyes,
A little Black girl in a world too heavy for her bones.
A world that didn’t feel like hers,
A body that didn’t feel like home.
She moved through life like a shadow,
Silent, unseen,
Scared of the darkness that crept into her room at night,
That smelled like liquor and sweat and evil.
She had no words for what happened to her,
No voice to scream,
Only silence,
Only the sound of her breath disappearing into nothing.
Her mother was always working,
Always gone,
And when she was home,
Her hands were...

A body that didn’t feel like home.

Enhancement Semantics
Enhancement semantics,
demanding a tangent,
have planted such candid dynamics entrancing.
Enchantment remanded,
lest chancing Atlantic,
is France and Atlantis in dancing enactment.
Some dragons with angles,
their camera cannons,
outlandishly channeling perilous planet.
From arrogant anguish,
commandments unpracticed,
while pharisee phantom has heresy handled.
The damnable sadness,
as cherub can ravage,
humanity's damage that's fallibly average.
Our fantasy famished, ...

She Rose in Power
I swear I died one day.
Not in a grave, not in the flesh,
But something in me left.
Like my spirit packed its bags and said,
"I can't live here no more."
Three years before the world shut down,
I was already a ghost in my own life,
Trapped in a body that ain’t feel like mine.
Seventeen years deep with love that outgrew me.
Since 11th grade, I called it home—
But home ain’t supposed to suffocate you.
One morning, I woke up,
And the love that held me together?
It felt like chains.
So I let it go. Had to.
And...
Not in a grave, not in the flesh,
But something in me left.
Like my spirit packed its bags and said,

Curious Got Me This Far
Curious got me this far,
But conviction has done me in
Periphery sights in the fore
Can’t see what’s settling in
Give me what I came for,
And I’m out the door again.
Craving sylvan hillsides
Verdant and turbulent,
Set me down under arboreal parasols
Only glints of radiance grace the skin,
A life full of demons, I confess my sin
Here within the confluence baptized in chimerical reverence.
Jade eyes staring into the cerulean sky,
Seeking truth in nebulous phantasmagoria
Counting clouds pushed by a zephyr, ...

Into the Unknown
The day starts like
A blank canvas
I wonder what ?
Shapes & colours
The sunshine
Will bring
What joys what warmth
What feelings this day
will bring ?
The colours my mind will see
The feelings I perceive
"~It's truly down to me~"

a moment of harmony (lyrics)
Verse]
The water calls to me
there's a cold breeze on my face
and sand in my shoes
in the unhurried slide
down a sand dune
[Verse 2]
The sky looks like
it could go on forever
and I take in
the wonder of the
clear blue
[Verse 3]
I feel so small
so humbled
by the harsh crash of waves
and how beautiful
how merciless
the ocean can be
[Chorus]
I could be a grain of sand
or a sea star
washed up on this beach
drawn here by the waters
that...

Reconsecration
Reconsecration
Glasses stained in Stygian windows
With leopard spot rims for predatory effect
Met with sanguine lipstick heat
Her flaming kiss
Is a nitro-glycerin palliative
For Soho heartaches gone mad
When her Greenwich Village tastes
Like poems on all gallows night
That sing for her last supper
When slumlords hang
A no-vacancy brand of fascism
On the rookery gates to skid row
While the arterial Cathedral
For her sacramental corpuscles
Is reconsecrated to Aphrodite
Glasses stained in Stygian windows
With leopard spot rims for predatory effect
Met with sanguine lipstick heat
Her flaming kiss
Is a nitro-glycerin palliative
For Soho heartaches gone mad
When her Greenwich Village tastes

Oh Yes, Make Me Water, My Love
Feed me grapes from the vine of its lover’s cup
Sweeten elixir streaming down my chin, you slowly lick it up
My back rests on a soft patch of moss
Take my mind and body, surrendering my words unto thee, suspending me for a weakening passionate loss
Umm…what a beautiful tumble and a toss
Greek Gods and Greek Goddesses, sultry sway to the echoes of the harp
A rainbow kissed by the Moon and the Universe, passionately larks
I have descended from the sky you clasped my hand
This is no ordinary love...
