No "FAKE" Fire Drill
Residents at high
land manor apartments
(aside from myself)
got rudely awakened -
by what sounded
like a screaming,
seething, and shrieking airplane
early morning hour
'ere september eleventh
two thousand eighteen
with deafening decibel (at
maximum threshold)
ear piercing shrill alarm
rousing atavistic primal
Neanderthal tapping primal brain
if NOT a atheist secular humanist,
I would aver my linkedin match

You should know
Today our nation has suffered the loss of a brave soldier.
A serviceman of the United States Air Force.
But you won't read about him in your paper or see the story on t.v.
So, I wanted you to know exactly who he was to me.
Just a tall, skinny kid, only seventeen.
Going off to basic in a couple of weeks.
But he didn't make it.
He would have though, if he hadn't fell asleep and he hadn't found that tree,
Only three miles from home.
Returning from a night at his friend's,
This young man died alone.
I said that he was a...

Thank You for your Sacrifice
There's times in our lives where we have to make a decision.
A decision to do things we don't want to so we can keep on living.
Living to protect our freedom and hold onto what's dear.
Dare to fight for an idea that will manifest into the next generation.
Generating truths that we are free to pursue happiness where ever we may be.
Be the catalyst for hope and dreams.
Dream of a world that's better than the one they left.
Left to believe that their sacrifice will not be in vain.
Vain thoughts have no place here.
Here they made their stand to...

Off to Neverland
When the opaque haze of Night surrounds thee,
thy bed of powder and shells beckons
and calls thee to lay; still as a corpse.
Sleep’s nocturnal hand caresses the lids of thy eyes,
like the hand of the patient soldier
slowly tracing the trigger of his gun...
Then suddenly, in a smoldering cloud
comes the cloaked...
thy bed of powder and shells beckons
and calls thee to lay; still as a corpse.

Supernatural Cowboy Sleuth (1.2)
Marcus stood in an endless maze, surrounded by a thousand memories of Shelly. Each, a hologram reliving different moments they had shared together. He cautiously walked to the closest image on his left. It was a holo of the first day he had met Shelly. He saw a hologram of himself standing behind the pharmacy counter. He remembered the day well..
*******
Marcus was five years younger, so recently employed by Dr. Phitzpatryk that his lab coat was still stiff with starch. He stood, back turned to his first customer, desperately searching for...

Marry Me! (Poem)
By Stanley Collymore
I most readily and cheerfully confess to my having a
wholly uncontrollable urge to marry you, and ever
more so since I realized that the intense passion
you’ve managed to inevitably generate in me
is quite literally driving me crazy and, as a
manifest and robust consequence of this,
I’ve unmistakeably, unavoidably and
likewise, in every other conceivable
way, and not the slightest remiss
in dutifully tackling this matter
without unwarranted delay, I
am enraptured to say, have
satisfyingly and...

Forgotten Soldiers
HOOK
We fight with our lives at stake just to be
Forgotten in an instant/
Tortured by the violence
But haunted by the silence/
We believe in your lies
And live out your wickedest fantasies/
Just to be
Abused and neglected Overseas/
But still we will never regret it/
Becoming forgotten Soldiers of
Her majesty’s united dynasty/
(Verse)
You send us to Hell to kill or be killed/
And we answer your call without hesitation/
Void of all emotion when we pull that trigger/
But are we really Soldiers or have we become...
