Fire Down Below
and we’re crashed here
legs tangled in half-light
I don’t know since when
but I do know the slickness
of spent fingers as I kiss them
I do know
the weight of your arms
circling my sunlit waist
and I’m not sure
of the measure
of everything
I wished tangible
as I worship
your beautiful broken parts
rebuilding your dreams
wondering
if the burn of me
still lingers on your tongue
if you’ll hold me long enough
to ever truly forget
legs tangled in half-light
I don’t know since when
but I do know the slickness
of spent fingers as I kiss them
I do know
the weight of your arms
circling my sunlit waist
and I’m not sure
of the measure

as I worship

still lingers on your tongue

the first death
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no
more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore,
for the former things have passed away.”―Revelation 21:4
the first death is the grave,
a timeless sleep
from which no tears can save,
though many weep;
fed to the cold, dark earth,
soma interred,
all fret and spite and mirth
and cares deferred.
the dead dreads not the night
nor craves the day;
nor do strange wings take flight
and soar away
to heaven or to...

Three am heart
What I want
most will never
happen through
this time on earth
but as I close my
eyes drifting away,
it's almost feels
like i'm close
enough.

requiem
The night has a thousand eyes, and the day but one;
Yet the light of the bright world dies with the dying sun.”
—Francis William Bourdillon
blushing eve sun stoops down
behind day’s hedge
to keep, too weary grown,
his solemn pledge
to populate the world
with fragrant light;
man and his beast are hurled,
thus, into night.
day-roses yield their eyes
to slumbersongs,
nocturnal lullabies
their sleep sarongs;
high-mountain rivers keep
their vigilance,
a never-ending leap
swept...

Tired
And I be tired, I'll be tired,
I'll be tired, I'll be tired
But I'll be quiet, I'll be quiet,
I'll be me
And no matter how dirty the water I find,
When I rinse my hands
they'll come clean
I'll be tired, I'll be tired
But I'll be quiet, I'll be quiet,
I'll be me
And no matter how dirty the water I find,
When I rinse my hands
they'll come clean

Haunted Circus
As a child, you loved the circus.
All performances,costumes on performers.
As they swing across the tent.
And the clowns entertained and defend.
You had a ticket, you bought online.
And you went into the circus just in time.
You sat down and enjoyed the show.
And your happiness,peace flow.
The performers seemed surreal.
And for some reason,it didn't feel real.
Suddenly,their skin became teal.
By now,everyone had left.
And the circus had a ghostly feel.
Familiar entities from your childhood.
The moments...

Clouds
Sometimes
I sit and stare at the clouds
So white and fluffy
Like big clumps of cotton in the sky
Inviting me
To come and lay my head down
To be embraced
To feel their comfort
And sleep
Forever

So white and fluffy
Like big clumps of cotton in the sky
Inviting me
To come and lay my head down

Deprived Dreams
I'm breaking down
In mid of day
The connections
That keep the peace
'Tween truth and lies
Ripping back drapes
Monsters flashing
Before my eyes
Cogs tearing down
Machinery
Overheating
Cognition slips
Brain in first gear
Red lights seem green
Heading full speed
Something Inside
Scream. Screams! SCREAMING!!
Brakes glowing red
Heart shakes and aches
Adrenaline
Quick infusion
Caffeine can't match
Carries safely
My return home
In mid of day
The connections
That keep the peace
'Tween truth and lies
Ripping back drapes
Monsters flashing
Before my eyes
Cogs tearing down

Overheating

Not Alone
Wishing not
to drowse in sleep
tomorrow comes far too soon
lying down
awake in thought
gazing at the waxing moon
ponderous
question now
what the future holds for me
reflecting
foregoing rest
saying prayers that I may see
eyes weighty
begin to drift
to a place where I can dream
not alone
in the darkness
more content than I may seem
to drowse in sleep
tomorrow comes far too soon
lying down
awake in thought
gazing at the waxing moon
ponderous
question now
what the future holds for me
reflecting
foregoing rest
saying prayers that I may see
eyes weighty
begin to drift
to a place where I can dream
not alone
in the darkness
more content than I may seem

Loop
Sometimes I think
I already forgot your name
then I hear the rustle of leaves
and that wind so jealous
pulling your hair
and reminding me of your voice
everything in the stones spells your name
everything in the fire supposes your eyes
water boils and air evaporates
just to make me remember
that I can't forget you
I turn to the side and try to ignore the light
ineffective attempt to lull my sleep
to dissolve me into an eternal dream
lullabies that I never sang
that I never heard from you
I want...

Olive Trees, Lunar Eclipse, Cowardice
Olive Trees, Lunar Eclipse, Uselessness.
They say 'Seek out higher ground before sunset,
let the eye scan west as the Sun is skipped
over our skyline, into the unending abyss.'
Let it envelope you, in the cold, seven fifty five,
while someone else's seven fifty five consists
of bombs and starvation and grief and bloodshed.
We are inconsequential, we are entitled,
nothing like keys awaiting their ancestral home.
Our dalliance with life is trivial,

Delusional
I saw another woman in my dreams the other night.
Her pain soaks through my pillow
In phantom tears I cannot feel.
If this is how the tide must turn, set me free.
The paranoia grows tiresome.
