HOW COULD I?
I burn again, embrace the pain
I long again, for nought to gain
Alone again, I seize the day
At peace again, I need to stay
Seething with each word
Is there any other way?
A tragedy never heard
O'er the darkness I say
How could I, with my great stride
Rip a hole in the sky above?
Drink all the rain it can give
And decide that it's not enough?
Tear down my sun from up high
Hoping my arms can bear the love?
How could I, with glass collide
And deign to yearn with eyes of blood?

A House Not Yet Home
I am a river flowing against its course,
my mother tries to dam me,
compares me to sacred texts,
to a lamp that’s lost its oil,
says I am breaking her,
that she could never face the world
with a son like me,
unthinkable, unimaginable,
every son before or after me
is soaked in my shame.
I fill her eyes
with tears corrosive as acid,
her heart just a wound
screaming for my normalcy.
But I am always too genuine,
frightening in the way I love men,
unapologetic and vulnerable.
She tells me that no god...

Light and Longing
Orange light funneling out on the water
A yellow beam greets it, missing synchronicity
Two fellows of solitude; signalling sanctuary
But their gaze never meets
As their selfless beacons dance upon the sea
How doomed are the rays
that never cross paths,
How romantic the intentions
that fall short of the mark?
Isnt the anticipation part of the thrill...
Do not the waves disturb the ocean still?
Perhaps lightkeepers are happy with their lot
To pour hours into good company,
the point is not
Then how sad for me...
A yellow beam greets it, missing synchronicity
Two fellows of solitude; signalling sanctuary
But their gaze never meets
As their selfless beacons dance upon the sea
How doomed are the rays
that never cross paths,
How romantic the intentions
that fall short of the mark?

The Unknown Hope
She takes his hand
To tell the secrets of the past
He smiled knowing she was wishing
That they could last
The silence takes her away
To a place she sought coming
The song of his arms
Wrapped around her, she started humming
The beauty of the fields
He related it to her
She thought she saw the future
But she wasn't too sure
The smoke of the fire
That burns within the discarded
The spark of confusion
Not knowing where it started
To tell the secrets of the past
He smiled knowing she was wishing
That they could last
The silence takes her away
To a place she sought coming
The song of his arms
Wrapped around her, she started humming
The beauty of the fields
He related it to her
She thought she saw the future
But she wasn't too sure
The smoke of the fire
That burns within the discarded
The spark of confusion
Not knowing where it started

litter on my mind
Litter on my mind
When I walk into the garden of my mind
I sometimes pick up weeds that must be rid of in the cold light of sanity.
A person, from the past, sent me a rancid email claimed
I had been lying when telling him I had crossed the Sahara barefoot when it was a simple spelling mistake
He also claimed that I had only been a cobbler's assistant and that knew nothing about upper soles of
clogs; it is a mystery how he found out I thought my abstract world was mine alone.
I'm told the rude, offensive person dabbles in electric matters.

Still
The brightest stars fall from the sky,
some explode and some burn out
because they are not perfect;
we are not perfect.
But despite everything,
through thick and thin,
through pill bottles and chips upon our shoulders,
despite you taking every part of me when you left,
I still love you.
And I have been living my life
waiting for you to realize
that you cannot live yours without me
but realizations do not work like that,
not for you and I.
But even knowing and accepting that,
is not enough to tear...

Already gone .
You walked
right through me .
As though I was a mirage .
You were half here
half over there .
Did you ever truly see me
even when you stood
within a whisper of my hair .
Did you see I was slipping
In between the cracks
You didn’t even turn around
to check I was there .
You were to busy
Playing
While I was holding on
to something
That was already gone .
right through me .
As though I was a mirage .
You were half here
half over there .

FROM BEYOND
A BEGINNING A MIDDLE AND A END...🤔 Have you ever heard a silent voice off from the distance, yet it sounds so clear like a whisper from the wind. Have you ever heard someone calling your name, yet when you look behind you 🤔 there's no one standing there, looking over your shoulder.👁️👁️ Have you ever heard of the illusions that you see and hear that you see aren't real👁️👁️ but yet you begin to question your own chain of thoughts, and your own questions as you silently talk to thyself, for is it your sanity or your...

Birthday
I still think of you on your birthday,
don't think that I have forgotten
or that I ever will
But I know that the chapter of you and I
has long passed us by
but I'll still whisper "Happy Birthday"
from a distance
because it's still your day
even though you left me.
So I'll say
"Happy Birthday, Sunshine"
as you blow out your candles hundreds of miles away from home
and I'll close my eyes with a wish of my own;
that you'll think of me in May.
don't think that I have forgotten
or that I ever will
But I know that the chapter of you and I
has long passed us by
but I'll still whisper "Happy Birthday"
from a distance
because it's still your day
even though you left me.

If the kindest souls were rewarded with the longest lives,
dogs would outlive us all.”—Anonymous
nor bark nor bite nor wagging of the tail
is why i sit here, waiting to exhale;
kennel defeat by flagrant emptiness
sickens my pooch-lorn spirit to excess.
caninic pain cuts deep—an eagle's claw
unsuturing my nerve ends in the raw:
how could night so conspire such wayward stealth
as robs me of contemporary wealth!
my doggone friend zilched pale as melted air,
with mastiff virtues...
