SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO WALK AWAY
It's a shame that we have to take sometime to see the differences, between what we thought and what we have in someone else. For example sometimes during a relationship we come across a man child or woman child, who has no idea what is maturity as it comes from experiencing different types of relationships. For it is necessary to understand that we have to separate ourselves from the past of our pass relationships and not bring the old with the process of creating a new. For it is the truth about ourselves that sometimes we fear as, we don't see ourselves becoming afraid of opening up our...

Uncle Charlie's Funeral...
I'm from one of those families who never call or text, and see nothing of each other from one decade to the next,
But there still arise occasions that are truly set in stone, when contact can't be made via text, nor calling on the phone,
Where a family get together is like nothing on this Earth, with every death or marriage, every christening or birth,
Where a gathering of the clan takes place underneath one roof, and every single time we do's like some bizarre Spike Milligan spoof,
Take for instance Uncle Charlie's passing it far outweighed the best, he was truly in the...

First love never dies
Everybody always says that love is hard and that it brings hurt
They are all scared of it like it’s cursed
They say that love is blind
But it isn’t
Not for me
For me love was easy when it was with you
We breathed in the same rhythm, never out of sync
Like two halves merging together
same people in different skin
same mind in different heads
same spirit in our chests
We were like two pieces of the same puzzle
And our love wasn’t blind
For we saw each other perfectly
We...

To Vanessa
I go between hating you with every fiber of my being, every cell living inside of my body, to crying at two in the morning because I can't remember what you smell like anymore. Crying comes easy most nights like these because you aren't here. I think about you more than I'd like to, and I hate that. I go between missing you like the sky misses the stars to pouring out the so called precious plant babies that are now long gone and dead. He mentioned the holidays yesterday and suddenly you were the only thing on my mind once again, and I hated it. What will christmas be like, Mom? Will you...

To mom, from A.
I have decided that all I can ever feel for you is anger, because if I did not feel the anger that is bubbling inside of my stomach for you, I would feel what keeps me up at night; the Loss.
I plan my day ahead of time, so that there are no opportunities for you to slip your way back into the caverns of the mind of mine that you broke in two.
Because I, am holding onto nothing but grass and leaves, for I am at the edge of the world trying to escape the grief and loss you have given me.
I sometimes cannot help but to think of you, or if at that same moment you are thinking...

Farewell letter to my significant other
I want to start this saying that I do not blame you or hate you nor have hard feelings towards you. I will talk to you with love. I'm not your enemy. None of this is your fault. You deserve the peace and tranquility to know you did a lot of good things and I don't want to fight. I don't want this to turn into a bitter farewell.
You've lit my way through the darkest days, you've been a key part in my happiness, motivation and life project.
I know you never meant to hurt me, and I never meant to hurt you but both of us have been through a lot together and...

Trouble at home
This is a journal entry from past week. Allot of questions and allot of doubt. Tell me what you guys / girls think.
Why do I stay when I clearly need to go? Why do I let myself be tormented by the unending, irrational, an loud cries of a woman who does not even try to listen? No, not one single relationship is perfect, there is always something to argue about. But healthy couples talk and try to understand each other’s difficulties. They try to find common ground of agree to disagree and move on. But not this woman. She needs to be right. She needs to be dominant. Like she always...

The Letter
Dear Daii,
You might be wondering why I’m writing this letter to you, you might not know who I am because I go unnoticed by almost everyone. I feel there are a few things to be uncovered and discover I'll try to not make this a long letter because I know how busy your day gets from you struggling to open your beautiful sparkly brown eyes to meet the sun that glares through your curtains to you managing and maintaining those small curls that protect and shelters that magnificent brain of yours, the effortlessness in choosing the right colors and shades that perfectly matches your persona...

A Civil War Trilogy
William Joseph Grady was born on Friday May 16th. 1845 at his family's farm in Dalton, Georgia, eighty miles or so north of Atlanta and close to the state border with Tennessee. His parents were William and Martha Grady and young William Joseph, Billy-Joe, was their first child. By the time Billy-Joe was ten years old he had been joined by two brothers and a sister. William senior had taken over the farm from his own late father, Joseph, in 1840 therefore it was already quite well established and easily able to sustain the Grady family. Martha, though, had been raised in the city of...

Incompatible Wings...
I still remember the song he played while crying.
Unaware of me sitting in the corner.
He took another shot of whiskey.
The next day I noticed something was missing.
How I searched but she was nowhere to be found.
I asked
"Father, where has Mother gone? Please I need to know."
He turned away, a saddened look upon his face.
"My Son listen to me. Your Mother won't ever come back."
What did I do now?
The years went by so quickly.
Everything about me has changed in some way.
I'm still missing a single wing....
Unaware of me sitting in the corner.
He took another shot of whiskey.
The next day I noticed something was missing.
How I searched but she was nowhere to be found.
I asked
"Father, where has Mother gone? Please I need to know."

The years went by so quickly.
Everything about me has changed in some way.
I'm still missing a single wing....
