If I taught in Louisiana
If I taught in Louisiana
you best believe I'd know the score,
I post the ten commandments in Hebrew
and hang a mezuzah by the door
The kids could sit on a pentagram rug
in the lotus position if they choose,'
Unitarian talks and Pagan rites
with inclusion you can't lose
The next mandate is not hard to guess:
Trump's picture on the wall
a breaker of every commandment
the irony lost on each and all
Talk of separation of church and state
would only be met with anger and hate
should I be forced to hang doctrine...

Nobody Cares That You Were Chased by a Donkey in Sardinia
She was probably rehearsing telling the story
as the event was happening
something about a donkey
persisntely rubbing up against her
which caused the other four teachers
at our last day of school happy hour
to ask why
Why would a donkey do that?

at the Mexican restaurant
