There is more
Than you might think
Hold your breath
Vow these words
Patience is the virtue and so if your life
There is no point fighting every hour
There is no point in holding all the power
We're all just gonna get louder and LOUDER
In the end it's just misconnected lies
Trap that myth
Drain your mind
Choose your path
Explore your time
Never give in

Chasing Dreams
Writing all my fears on an empty page
Needing to share these random thoughts
Looking for common ground to engage
Never found it hard to connect the dots
Chasing dreams in a game of chance
I’m a realist when it comes to limitations
Sure it gets me off to make words dance
While venting all life’s many frustrations
Wisdom’s another word for commonsense
That’s been accumulating over the years
So many seasons spent sitting on the fence
Learning that nothing truly is as it appears
Needing to share these random thoughts
Looking for common ground to engage
Never found it hard to connect the dots
Chasing dreams in a game of chance

Trail Blazer
My mistake is leaving a trail even a blind man can trace..
My mistake is quitting the rail when the only way is the rail..
Many obstacles on the road..
So many predators on the way preying on my life..
In the blistering cold I walk.. sored up in my walking foot.. it's not soothing when it rains.. the sun rises but no shine.. in full moon we still in the dark. We dig dug and burrow in a row..
Jolly jolly Ma I raid ma I raided all the way..
Even though I hustle I made mistakes..
Relieving me all off my responses abilities I...

NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION
It's that time of year when
we are getting ready
to flip the calendar and
face the new year, exchanging
2020 with 2021. We have
determined our new year's
goals, plans, and commitments.
Reality hits: 95 % never keep
their resolutions, 5% do so feebly,
and 5% soar with the eagles.
* The weigh is still on, maybe a little more
*The cause is still boring
* The relationship is without sparkle
* The bucket list still has all the dreams
* The writing of more poems, even a book, no.
Nothing left but forgotten words and ...

out with the old...
too many drinks too quickly
it was like a trainwreck when it hit me
(no, I'm not still drunk)
my altered perspective made me think
maybe I should switch shit up
strike a match to the past
and blaze into a new me
it's probably mostly bluster
I mean...
how much different could I be
just trying out something unexpected
really...it's not so much...
infusing silver locks
with something more vibrant
dye it half violet & leave the other half white
then take it from the waist up to shoulders
seems a small step... ...

I've never seen anything so inadequate

Wrong Number
Hi”, the text came in from an unfamiliar number
“Who is this?” he replied a few minutes later
“It’s Kathy! I thought you saved my information”
“Sorry wrong number” he texted to dissuade her
“Oh I’m sorry to disturb your evening” she replied
“No worries” he said “it happens sometimes”
But out of custom he also added “have a nice night”
Something which he thought was just being polite
But then she responded with a picture of herself
“Thanks! Here’s a pic of me, where are you?”
And the old man nearly had himself a hard attack ...
“Who is this?” he replied a few minutes later
