Starving Artist
I drape my lines
In visual signs
Poetic designs
Designed to climb vines
Abstract mental for the minds
I sink and swim in my rhymes
Scuba diving in mental disorders
To cross the borders
Of many poetry hoarders
A stepping stone of brick and mortars
Overstepping my boundaries
In subliminal foundries
Questioning all that I write
Whether wrong or right
In the day or the night
A continuous fight
Revamping to shine bright
Proving myself to the might
Every line
I design
Is looking to find
Itself...

The Jesters Smile
The Jester Smile
What happened to the jesters smile?
I haven’t seen it for a while,
You have to toe the party line
If you want to sup their sacred wine,
I heard him crying in the night
He’s lost the battle, lost the fight
Doesn’t know what’s wrong
And he doesn’t know what’s right,
You’ll get no prizes, get no medals
The rust has eaten thru’ your mettle
You’ve used up all your ammunition
You sold your soul for cheap ambitions,
You used to stand up tall and proud
And entertain those eager crowds
But now your smile...

Silent - A Secret Revealed
Two Years Ago, Lucy
The coast was busy, the tide out. She sat on a bench further down, away from the locals, and waited for him.
They'd talked yesterday afternoon, although she'd been wary of him at first. It had happened just after Arthur had discovered her and Gavin at the House. She'd waited for Arthur by the bungalow and Arthur had dropped her off in town in the car, maintaining still that the boy Pete Whittaker wasn't Dad's son but Terence's. On the way back to the Bed and Breakfast, she'd passed Jace on the street and he'd stopped her to talk about Monday...

Silent - Searching In Despair
Two Years Ago, Gavin
Missing you xxx Philippa had texted.
The compulsory morning session over, I caught another taxi back to the House. Philippa wasn't in her room.
Where are you? I texted.
I searched through the grounds, my eyes playing tricks on me from the heat and lack of sleep. I hurried past the water fountains, through the landscaped gardens, the weather getting muggier.
Down the grassy mound and round the back to the Remembrance Garden, sweat pouring from my forehead and face, onto my t-shirt. Along the driveway in the clammy...

Silent - Return To The House (2)
Two Years Ago, Lucy
Suddenly, she got the impression that someone was watching her from an upstairs window, looking beyond the clump of tree trunk, directly at her. She peered up, certain that the person was standing there, staring down from the top floor where Agnes was currently staying in a double apartment. But she couldn't see anyone.
The entrance door opened. Gavin. 'It's not too bad, but we'll have to be quick. Veronica's round the back with this lad I've not seen before. I told her I'd come back because I wasn't feeling well. We go straight in and up the...

Silent - A Stern Warning
Two Years Ago, Gavin
I woke up on the floor again, momentarily confused. Yawning, Philippa headed to the showers. She returned, and I went for a shower next. Later, we walked down to the breakfast cafeteria, conscious of the icy silence that fell the moment we entered the room. Dawn left as soon as she could without drawing attention to herself, and one of the other pianists followed and caught up with her, throwing me a filthy look at the door.
Another girl had taken Lucy's place behind the hatch. Blonde. Similar to Lucy but different. Philippa and I grabbed...

Hopefully To Find Herself
One day, Lindsay looked
outside and realized that
the country life was no
longer right for her which
made her want to leave.
She told her family that
she wanted to move to
Los Angeles hopefully
to find herself there and
they allowed her to do it.
