underflow
fall leaves return
begging for mercy
winter pays
little heed
like an agnostics
prayer
empty of substance
but seeking answers
much like water
frozen on the surface
but raging in
it's underflow
begging for mercy
winter pays
little heed
like an agnostics
prayer
empty of substance
but seeking answers
much like water
frozen on the surface
but raging in
it's underflow

Drugs & babies don't mix
After a late night of partying
This one girl brings another girl and a guy back to her apartment
The girl wants to be kinky & have sex in her baby's crib
The girl forgot to have a babysitter watch the child when she went out
Their all high on meth
The ignorance & stupidity of this entire ordeal was that the 6 month old baby was still in the crib
The next morning the baby was dead
Apparently the baby was smothered to death
They all served time
The mother though was sentenced to life in prison
She had no remorse
She told family...

Respect The Yellow Jackets
Long grass tall and green
needing a trim, a circumcision
Hiding beneath the ground
invisible to the naked eye
A lair beneath soil
productive and growing
undisturbed nestled in earth
tread lightly above
Man pulls out a mega trimmer
combustion engine fueled
an extension of masculinity
meant to get the job done
black and yellow uniform
soldiers of honor
protecting this piece of utopia
knighted by the queen
her only law to protect
be honorable, and loyal
death is permitted
for the good of...

Silent - A Deranged Man
The Present, Lucy
'Hurry up,' the man in the baseball cap says, dragging her by the arm, up a semi flight of concrete stairs, into a long corridor. He yanks her along when her strength gives way, his breathing rapid and heavy. 'I have a knife and I will use it on you if necessary. I will kill you. Stop messing about.'
She hadn't seen the knife. But the weapon changes everything. Everyone knows that when a stranger makes a threat, they intend to carry out the threat.
'A few moments ago, I received a phone call from a woman informing me that she knows of...

Don’t Mess With Her
Don’t Mess With Her
She dares you to even try
To give her a bad hair day
Because she has the 80s girl moxie
Whose feathers you may ruffle
At your own risk
When she scrawls your name
In her scarlet lipstick
On the misty mirror of your heart
Telling you to get lost clown
And your puny male ego
Turns to ashes
Under the blue flame
Of her eyes
She dares you to even try
To give her a bad hair day
Because she has the 80s girl moxie
Whose feathers you may ruffle

Silent - Trapped In The Dark
Now, Gavin
Nearly two years after the fire that killed my friends, I return to the north of England: Manchester this time. To see Lucy. But it all goes wrong. Lucy doesn't turn up for lunch in the park as we arrange and a load of weird stuff starts again.
So here I am now, locked in a damp-smelling room in the dark by a bloke I've never met before, a bloke in a baseball cap.
He enters the room with a torch and stands by my feet. 'Goodbye, Gavin.' He fiddles with a padlock.
'Hey, let me out. You've got to let me go.'
'You're...

That's My Day
Get up in the morning
The alarm goes off
Eyes open
To catch up to my mind
City has gone wild
Armed with light
There are times
I trudge right through
Perfect target
Snatch, cut, or shoot
Walk from the train
Back through the door
That's my day

Monty Burns
He's evil, and he's funny...
except evil isn't funny...
so what makes Mr. Burns so great?
It's because we inherently know
that evil is silly WHEN it isn't a threat...
due to gerontologic circumstance.
Let's keep it that way.

rewrite
you are allowed to rewrite
your story
no matter how sad, desperate
or wounded that story is now
there is nothing stopping you
expect your own imagination,
lack of free will and self
determination
the pages are blank once
more
history is
history
stay the victim if you
wish
but life really doesn't
keep accounts of
such
live with ghost in your
head if you
must
but remember
the sun has survived
millions of
years

Aligning the Mimics
No clarity of conscience
to fill the void
with coherent musings
Just
a vast shading of a poise
that darkens
the stance of subjugation
O’ hath the shakers
encouraging the oath of idolatry
infecting the paths of our children
masterful leaders
intent
on manufacturing an illness
to challenge their views
Sedentary players
that measure their worth;
their grit
Aligning the mimics to accept
the roguery of an ill-managed ruse
In depth, they are the spinners of tales ...

Silent - A Tragedy
Two Years Ago, Gavin
After that? Pretty blurred, really. Tragic, like a dying swan. All that beauty gone. Jace invited me back to his for a drink and a grill up, but I made a decision: get a train and return home early, enough of Philippa. Dawn went to fetch Paul, and Paul drove Dawn, Jace and me back to Lyme House to collect my stuff. Then on to the train station.
We didn't say much on the way to the station. Such an intensity of emotion, Jace and Dawn seemed upset by my departure, even though we hardly knew each other.
At the station, Dawn hugged me,...
