I recently watched the movie titled Alice, staring KiKi Palmer, a movie that debates the chronical aftermath of domesticated help still being held as slaves by plantation landowners.
It is the revered story inspired by true events resulting in the Emancipation Proclamation, signed on January 1, 1863, and how a landowner who fabricated to his slaves they were not free, and how he continued to enslave them for years following being free.
A very great movie to watch.
This is the introduction of my Straight Talk Live piece, I was once advised by my grann, it is...

My Views 9
Malice, envy, and strife are destructive to everybody.
Avoid gossip, slander and unprofitable talking.
We should be impartial and condemn all wars.
Do not let anybody teach you to fight and kill one another.
Fearlessly censure stupid and arrogant tyrants.
They have stained their hands with the blood of poor people.
Speak out against crime and violence today.
Exercise your constitutional right to freedom of speech.
Withdraw your supports for the political system.
Denounce corruption, deception and cover-up.

I Shall Not Keep My Silence On These Issues
Hey, bloodthirsty warmongers and haters, do you think you can silence me?
You should take a lesson from the humble children all over the world.
Let the innocent little ones teach you how to love one another sincerely.
And as for you homosexuals and lesbians, you cannot silence this man either.
You depend on the law for permission to do obscene and unnatural things,
But laws cannot make heterosexuals agree with homosexuality and accept it.
Exploitative politicians, I have something to say to you before I pack my bags.
You are taking advantage of...

Maya's Portraits
Every time I read Maya’s poetry,
I’m in awe of the emotion she conveys,
But every time I see her portraits,
I can’t but help sense her pain.
In each of her pictures she tell a story,
Of trials and tribulations and triumphs,
Because in her smile she conquered it all,
And her works surely made her a giant.
Maya’s portraits always show a resilience,
Her experiences made her even stronger,
In her face there is a soulful grace,
With a gift that brought her honor.

America
The time has come to lift up the carpet of deception and expose the dirt that you swept under it.
We do not care whether you can stand the smell of your own excrement or not.
Your opportunistic forefathers ran away from Great Britain and came to the west as wanders.
They settled in other people’s lands, and they reaped what they did not cultivate.
The Americans claimed that they discovered a land, but the land had already been inhabited by people.
So the country that you proudly call your home does not belong to you; it is a stolen land.
Your dishonest...

Displacement
Some swear that Noah built an ark
That wound up on Mount Ararat
Where the cargo could disembark
As fast as Secretariat.
They'd been so horribly crowded
And were keen for an outdoor trot
Now that the skies were unclouded
And Earth became a drier spot.
Yet still the ark is trapped on high
Perhaps awaiting one more flood
By climate change people deny,
Convinced that science is a dud,
And only able to ascertain
That Christ, and the south, will rise again.

The Status Woe
Calculation, that Lord of tedium,
Has never the less earned it's ugly place
Amid the testing of all medium
Down to an infinitesimal trace,
Making the most of data collection
Yet always put first to evil intent,
Which has the meek exploring abjection
Until their modest resources are spent.
War Department stockholders come first
Because there is profit with munitions
And clearly poor people deserve the worst
Should they constrain a tycoon's ambitions,
Like premeditated tax evasion
And violent Caucasian invasion!

A Backwards View
(on micro-aggressions)
It’s odd to reflect in hindsight on
the little hatreds that emerge
in little words and reassurances.
The Australian teacher who told me
that I should be grateful to be called
a pervert, since wouldn’t gays be happier
if they identified themselves as such?
The same woman who’d say
that certain stereotypes have weight.
(‘In corpses, dear, perhaps’
would be the ungracious reply.)
Who said that Jews
were sometimes greedy Jews,
claiming dental care as charity relief
and then...

FAIR ENOUGH
Remember.
Reclaim.
Restore.
A white supremacist slogan,
You laughed,
Were I to wear your
Indigenous rights t-shirt.

Discrimination Vs Preference
The law against discrimination is an infringement of the right to preference.
No other right is more important than the right to choose freely.
People have the right to choose who they want to work or associate with.
They also have the right to accept or reject unnatural practices.
When laws prevent you from doing these things, you reach a bad state.
Administrators of social medias have the responsibility to support free speech.
People who bluntly speak the truth definitely do not have many friends.
A person with integrity boldly stands up for...

Stealing us, was the smartest thing they did.
Stealing us, was the smartest thing they did.
Who else do you know can build pyramids that can withstand millions of years, with endless mysteries that can only be equated to alien intelligence?
Who else do you know can build coliseum for titans that would withstand the test of time?
Who else do you know can work mines for years, work plantations for years and still carry the nation on their blood sweat and tears,
And come home to be mothers and and fathers?
Stealing us, was the smartest thing they did.
