Window Writing (a sonnet)
Her thoughts chasse' as she begins to write.
The heavy clouds create pillowing forms.
Inked prose seen only with the candlelight,
O' springtime evening bringing her sweet storms.
A whip-poor-will's enduring twilight song,
Fresh lilac tantalizing every word.
This conquest of her vision has been long.
Does rain bring presence begging to be heard?
My parchment strewn from gales, now raindrop skimmed.
Behold, the brilliance of a lightning arch!
Deep rest calls, the beeswax stick becomes dimmed,
Silent verses to slumber in the...

Fairy backhand mojo upon a mist transmogrify
Host's talismanic unearth sacred grounded lies

Funk defy your soul
Swag hot feels is all we gonna need
This whacked-out timing to play
Raising fruit from the soulless seed
Words in unknown rhyme today
Tripping upon the bed way too high
Music crunk by a wing and care
Make-believing base words may fly
Hear an angel not a devil's dare
Now we walk their grass a barefoot
Old sacrifice hung in sacred tree
The holiest grounds burnt into soot

The Evening Aesthetic
Poetry's vessel must have a sail
For the breeze of inspiration to fill
But when that breeze becomes a full gale
You must have in place some tried and true skill.
Words, of course, must be blue ribbon choice
And not sorry slang from coked up street gangs
Or twitter account for a moron's voice
No better than an animal with fangs.
The sails are like quatrains and stanzas
There to exploit inspiration's storm
That sometimes shows up like ore in bonanzas
Which must be contained in some sort of form!
Who knew content and form could be so...
