Italian Sex Symbol
Premonitions of Edwidge Fenech casts a spell over me
Mesmerizing beauty
Italian actress from the early 1970’s
Perfumed with a lethal dose of mystery and crime
Giallo Cinema
Her black cat eyes lure me in all the time
5 bambole per la luna d'agosto
Who done it?
Tutti i colori del buio
Will she survive?
Perché quelle strane gocce di sangue sul corpo di Jennifer?
Will she remove her clothes?
Il tuo vizio è una stanza chiusa e solo io ne ho la chiave
Eroticism par excellence

Early Morning Blues
Thursday. 8:11 AM
2 hours into my day at work.
What a drag
I’m surrounded by these bland grey walls that are about 6 ft high
There dusty and in need of cleaning
Fucking gross
Are they to protect me from the outsiders?
Are they to protect others from me?
Are they listening to my thoughts or when I speak?
Probably
All I know is that my creativity is being sucked away from this isolated location
It’s horrible
In addition, knowing that the one poetry website I could rely on is disappearing in a few weeks
I don't...

Pasta, Cannoli's & Italian Progressive Rock
Italy has been a fertile terrain for musical groups since the 1960’s. The traditional song format was slowly renewed, adding elements coming from England and the United States. These elements were rock n roll, rhythm & blues and beat.
It was with the success of the beat acts that brought many English acts to come to Italy. Numerous English bands came to Italy searching for fame & fortune. A handful of these musicians stayed here, giving birth to this new form of rock called “Progressive Rock”.
By the end of the decade a new tendency appeared with these newly...

A Plastic Spoon for Matilda
11:58 AM
I’m getting hungry
The day is already dragging
As you may or may not know from my last write titled "Early Morning Blues"
I open my large cooler
I pull out my jar of crunchy peanut butter and a ziplock bag of raisins and an assortment of nuts
I was looking forward to mixing the two together
But to my dismay, I forgot my spoon
SHIT!
Now I must take a walk to the cafeteria
I entered the cafeteria for the 1st time in over 5 years
Nothing has changed
I noticed immediately the smell of...

f**king with levity (thinking out loud)
I've had a few creative mentors over the years, people I respected (some I still respect), people I looked up to without question, people I relied on, people who I treated like Gods when they were undeniably human. I took the best parts of them to heart, while also taking the things that don't work for me.
There's one line in particular, that runs through my head, rent free. "Indie, you need more levity, your work is brilliant, but it's too heavy on its own". And I think about that all the time. I think about how I love the darkness as much as I hate it. I think about...

a spark for an inferno
How would you feel if I said you were the catalyst for years of misfortune? You came into my life like a saviour and left me more broken than anyone else ever has.
Someone told me I should write my story, but I don't know how to do that without talking about you, because back then everything was about you. You were the start of a journey that would lead me place my younger self couldn't yet comprehend.
As much as I wish I could erase you from my history, none of those things would have been possible without you.

At the height of the colonial crisis
there are broken lands under lethal tension.
Political instability, endless conflicts.
Nations in turmoil, seek what is to come.
Organizations rise up as a voice of reason...
Fragile hope in a divided world.
While openness germinates on the streets,
promises of change in an era that is ending.
Cinemas project stories, realities flow,
dictators build worlds that set us on fire.
Films delve into their dark shadows,
in logical expressionism the aesthetics nestle.

Benefits of being an Atheist
I know that believing in God is NOT necessary to be a good person, it is possible to be moral and have good values without believing in God.
I can embrace new scientific theories about human origins, without being saddled with the belief that a god created everything.
I’m free from church hierarchy telling me what I can and can’t do.
I can embrace a woman’s right to make choices when it comes to her own body.
I don’t have to give my money to a church, so that the pastor can afford his own personal jet, home, mistresses, children or any other...
