Spooning, Knifing & Forking
My wife only wants me to spoon her when she's hammered
Any other time, she don't want me near
That's ok
I actually despise her and spooning
One night she came home incredibly drunk
She was all over the place
Stumbling, making no sense
Fell backwards into my cabinet
Breaking some heirloom figurines I had from my family
No apology, nothing
My blood was beginning to boil
I yelled at her, "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY FACE!!!"
I was tired, so I went to bed

As he awaits death row
There's something I think you ought to know
He has no remorse for the woman he killed
All died by his hands, this was the ultimate thrill
He has a list here of each girl, their age and how they died
Some had memento's he kept near his bedside
They all deserved to die, for the filth they were
Some were on drugs, while others would philander
Here's his list in year order:
Melissa age 18, dead in 1994,
cut her throat as she bled to death on the floor
Mary age 18, dead in 1995, ...

Seven minutes remain of this simulation
where I have laid, restless to study this morning
my hands in the sodden sweetgrass where my skin was moistened
by death. It was the bloom that said don’t go back there, to the darkness within the shroud. The light at dawn wants to listen
to gunshot flair in the morning breeze. This day, you were framed in rage. Teeth gnashed and full throttle.
This day, I was the white heat of guilt, hands cramped
and muddied by the silt of forever. I was blended—

As the woman he'd paid for rolled over naked to face him,
Her legs fell apart as if strings holding
her marionette form had been cut.
Yes, he thought. This is her surrender.
Her child-like face astonished him,
But he was beyond redirection.
The salty petals of her ripened womb
Turned outward, as if seeking the sliver of sunlight
Peeking through haggard curtains.
He knew he would soon possess all of her.
As his clothes fell to the floor, he gazed at her soft pink orifice,
