Never again
Never again
Will I hear your voice
Or feel your hugs
Or kisses on my cheek
Never again
Will I hear your stories
Or smell your perfume
Or have rambling chit chat
Never again
Will we laugh together
Or share our dreams
Or make new memories
Never again
Will any of these things happen
But never
Will I forget what was
I miss you terribly, mom
Will I hear your voice
Or feel your hugs
Or kisses on my cheek
Never again
Will I hear your stories
Or smell your perfume
Or have rambling chit chat
Never again
Will we laugh together
Or share our dreams
Or make new memories
Never again
Will any of these things happen
But never
Will I forget what was
I miss you terribly, mom

Christmas without Mom
December brings us holidays,
with new hopes for a better new year.
We wish our friends and neighbours well,
and give them Christmas cheer.
I knew this day would come,
as everyone passes away,
but you went too soon, wasn't ready then,
and I'm certainly not today.
We hung the stockings you made for us,
and we the decorated the tree.
The children iced the Christmas cookies,
following their grandma's recipe.
It looks the same as when I was young,
but something is amiss,
with you not here, how...
with new hopes for a better new year.
We wish our friends and neighbours well,
and give them Christmas cheer.

Merry Christmas, Mom - Part IX
What I'm saying about you isn't hard for others to understand.
You were my mother and until March of 2013, I was a lucky man.
But you died on March the 6th of 2013 and I ran out of luck.
When I had to say goodbye, it felt like lightning had struck.
You and I spent our Christmases together for over forty years.
But we'd never share another Christmas and losing you drove me to tears.
You were so special that they probably threw a party when you arrived at the Pearly Gates.
I know that The Lord is happy to have you in Heaven but your death is something...

One-Sided Conversations with my Mother
Momma, can I come see you this weekend?”
“Momma, when are you picking me up?”
“Momma I love you.”
“Momma, who’s that?”
“Momma what do you mean you’re having a baby?”
“Momma why can’t I come with you?”
“Momma why do they get to live with you?”
“Mom why don’t you want me?”
“Mom I don’t feel good”
“Mom I love you.”
“I don’t know why the school is calling you, mom.”
“Mom I want to go home.”
“I hate you.”
“Its not my fault you’re never here.”
“I don’t know if he touched me. I can’t remember.”
“Mom don’t call...

A Mother's love
What could be more beautiful in the world
Smiles of a mother with a child in her arms?
These moments of enchanting love,
They are immortalized in paintings and poems
The tenderness laid down by the wise nature
Feelings of motherly devotion and love warm us
Like the face of the sun in the blue sky,
In its simplicity does not require embellishment.
Oh, how many times you, beautiful mothers,
Gave the inextinguishable light of the magic
Love in the eyes so calm and bottomless
And keeping the sacred secrets of nature!
Smiles of a mother with a child in her arms?
These moments of enchanting love,
They are immortalized in paintings and poems
The tenderness laid down by the wise nature
Feelings of motherly devotion and love warm us
Like the face of the sun in the blue sky,

Spock
It does not seem as though it were so.
Impossible, you can never predict.
Uncertainty is my enemy.
So logical, am I born to defect.
My eyes are hard, and I’m watching you close.
Emotionless, I have my thoughts in control.
Graduated at the top of my class.
My time is coming to pass.
Mother, show me out now.
Mother, teach me pain.
Father does not want me.
I feel I am his bane.
I have emotions, but I bury them deep.
Every once in a while I can feel them creep.
I don’t want to lose control of my faculties. ...

the goodbye
The Good-Bye
We walked
To the railway station
Mother
Dressed in an old coat
Fastened with safety pins
waved.
She looked so small wanted to leave the train
Embrace her.
The train moved
I waved
As long as I could see her.
Mother was untidy
Hair
On the sandwiches
She gave me.
At the next stop
I bought a bar of chocolate.

I'll be alright
I let you know I'll be alright
Though it's all too much to handle
I let you know I'll be alright
While parts inside me are dying
I let you know I'll be alright
As I don't want you to worry
I let you know I'll be alright
Yet the truth is that I'm lying
I let you know I'll be alright
As I pretend behind a mask
I let you know I'll be alright
Smiling as my heart is breaking
I let you know I'll be alright..........
But....

Life Lessons
Last evening my son and i were laying in bed
He was watching his Tablet and I was watching Chicago P.D.
A cop show a man beating a women to the point of knocking out
So wrapped up in it until my son utters "Mommy why did that man hit that lady?"
Stunned and confused what are the right words to say
He's so observant for only being the age of four
Bud this is just a television show meant to entertain
It isnt real but sometimes men do hurt women that way
Tate baby, you must never hit a women not ever
Even if you are mad at her you never take...

For Mom
To hear my mother’s song again,
And rocked a-bye from the cradle
To reach up and touch her hair
Hugged by the angel of my life.
When it was only myself and her
to spend my childhood days
Made the golden memories
that I shall never trade
Sunrises and sunsets
walking through the parks
And rocked a-bye from the cradle
To reach up and touch her hair
Hugged by the angel of my life.
When it was only myself and her
to spend my childhood days
Made the golden memories
that I shall never trade

Hey
Hey ... It's me.
I just wanted to say that I miss you. I got to thinking yesterday and came across some pictures of us. I wanted to call but obviously I couldn't so I'm writing this letter instead.
I'm still full of questions and I'm not really sure if I'll have enough time to ask them.
But, umm ... Do you ever wonder about me, the way I wonder about you?
I wonder if you're all right cuz the last time we spoke you didn't seem all right.
But that's not my place anymore so I can't ask.
Do you ever think about what happened and wonder where we would...
