Sanctuary
These white halls of pure light essence;
All doors lead the same.
For my resolve, your evanescence does flicker.
Marbled slave irony.
The rain drop falls in sweetened silence until the peace breaks the puddles ripped violence.
Oh dear finality,
My sanctuary.
Outside the world is so cold.
And whiter then home.
The bite makes bitter and the cold fights sinners in justice trials and won.
I want to be warm forever, shield me in your ever dream filled arms;
Never let me flee the white and red halls and quiet hushed calms.
I...

songs of loss and innocence
they play forever in your head
the temples expanding
as all our bodies age
and store up memories
until they die
and all that loss and innocence
flies out and impregnates the air
the temples of our thoughts
and feelings fall apart
the temples expanding
as all our bodies age
and store up memories
until they die
and all that loss and innocence
flies out and impregnates the air
the temples of our thoughts
and feelings fall apart

Alien
It’s a seed sprouting,
a cold plant, spreading like a misty
forget-me-not.
When the familiar becomes thin, veiled
without colour or substance.
Far-off, disconnected,
as if I had been transported, between
blinks, to a pale Andromedean planet
with unfathomable languages and unrecognisable shapes.
The grass is green, but
not. The sky is blue, but not. The sun shines hot
but with a stony face.
Everything orbits a glowing abyss ,
and distant events and...

You're in control
Standing on a wave in time
Distant silhouettes run through my mind
Messengers through a cloudy space
Darkness reflects onto my face
Maybe one day the sun will reflect a new vision
Walking towards the light is my decision
A warm glow on my soul,
beauty through my eyes
A new dream each day,
thankful to see a new sunrise
Distant silhouettes run through my mind
Messengers through a cloudy space
Darkness reflects onto my face

Change the Locks
scatterbrained,
feathers and pecking,
thoughts quick,
frantic checking.
the door is locked,
footsteps approach,
sweat sliding down,
a creeping roach.
It looks in your eyes,
you have no disguise.
knob turning,
knee hitting the wood,
still locked in a trance,
be understood.
one-click,
two-click,
three-click,
done.
time standing still,
yet persisting forward,
the door is now open,
you are cornered.
a question is asked,
yet...

frantic checking.

The Star That Never Sleeps
Through the north window my chamber glows,
A star with uncanny light bestows.
Through long hellish hours of blackness and fear,
In the autumn of the year, when winds jeer,
From the north they curse and whine,
Through red-leaved trees, the swamp’s grim design,
Where mutterings in shadows creep,
Under the horned moon's baleful sweep.
I sit, by the casement's cold embrace,
And watch the star that holds its place.
Cassiopeia reels from her heights so bright,
Charles’ Wain lumbers through the night. ...

in my dark hours I keep a diary of sin
days I squanered, on days I regret
with thoughts that haunt, while I try to escape to sleep
lying there with a private cinema
replaying pivatol moments
so many mistakes along the way
with pitfalls I feel I should have avoided
my faded flowers memories of brighter days
before I learned how brutal the world could be
sheltered as a little girl
I wasn't prepared for the realities of life
too eager to experience things
I wish I had more focus as a youth
so bright of mind, it seems...

The Truth Fairy
Under the pillow, a tooth was placed.
A child waiting, all snug in haste.
But a different fairy, with wings so bright,
slipped into the room in the middle of the night.
Not the Tooth Fairy with glitter and cheer
but the Truth Fairy, solemn and near.
With a sigh, she whispered, “It’s time to reveal
the secrets and truths that life may conceal.”
In dreams the child was gently led
to scenes of truth, both hoped and dread.
A mirror showed friends who might betray
and promises broken along the way.

Vows for a Second Marriage
We gather today under the vast canopy of the universe to celebrate a new commitment between Jennifer and Herald. They stand before us as two of creation's happenstance.
As we share the joy of their union, let us acknowledge the rich experiences that have shaped them. They bring with them memories of their childhood, education, and environment. Let us be honest and acknowledge that they also bring memories of lovers, treasured without regret, as they now embark on a journey to forge a new and deeper love together. Let us encourage them to be enthralled by each other’s beauty, to...

innocence
sadness overcomes me and my inner woman fades
my voice within quiets and I retreat
part of me has no choice but to stay and feel the pain
everything silences, I feel so deeply
I've gotten the souls inside me, to sanctuary
it may seem strange but there are many that live within me
innocense being my soul child
a little being with keen observations of the world
I hear her talking to God
she always prays for me
leading the evening requests for beauty
she is curious about the world
too eager to know things

Time
As my mind traces back
voices from within
tell me to soul search
a personal energy
that resonates
changing my perspective
as multiple beings
alert me when my time will expire

Frosty Autumn Leaves
In our minds your memory burns bright
Gone too soon, laid to rest, eternally
The autumn leaves and frost
Decorate your absence
Memories of happiness
Memories of love
Long, winding roads led you home
Led us on different paths
Tangled like branches
Lost in the sound of silence
Your memory lives on in the autumn leaves and frost
Silence
You live on
Gone too soon, laid to rest, eternally
The autumn leaves and frost
Decorate your absence
Memories of happiness
Memories of love
Long, winding roads led you home
Led us on different paths
Tangled like branches
Lost in the sound of silence
Your memory lives on in the autumn leaves and frost
Silence
You live on
